Introduction
Japanese food stole mystery for many people and I tried to demystvite in this program with my cookettes. Sabako Okuchi is the school chef and the owner of Shalom Japan, which she opened in 2013 with her husband Aaron Israel. Sala and Aaron combine Japanese Jewish food cultures on one menu. They also have just published a beautiful book titled Love Japan, recipes from our Japanese American kitchen. The unique concept has proven successful as they celebrate the 10th year of Shalum Japan this year.
