The decision-maker has to grapple with uncertainty, have to make implicit or explicit probability judgments that are going to influence their decisions. The 2008 crisis was really interesting because so many people, you can look at comments in 2005, 6, 7, even early 2008. But if anything happened, that stock market, when the S&P started to tick down over the course of 2008, that price action itself seemed to be a heuristic for something. And using those available sources of aggregated data, if that's betting on sports, that's looking at Las Vegas odds, you know, going to the various sports books.
