One of the themes i picked up in the book is just recognizing that and just being a bit kinder to yourself. You can have a training plan and an intention and a stated goal but be prepared to change if you get flu, cold or niggling injury. There's a balancing act to play isn't there? I'm not going to go running reps up and down a hill when i don't feel great. Men sometimes don't balance stress very well as they layer it on with drinking too much coffee  too much trainingToo much stress too much anxiety we're not always good about dealing with it.
