How to Moderate Intensity for Your Workout

I have some pretty intense ADHD so one of the things I've noticed is that when I focus and get in the zone I don't get the signal that I'm fatigued or I'm at my limit until quite late. So what does this look like before you do your workout maybe the day before or a week before? What are then some techniques that I can use to help me moderate the intensity for the rest of my training sessions so I have a more sustainable workout oh yeah I love this question.
