The Amorites, the Amorites, the Hittites, Etc.
i'm one who says the bible doesn't teach us anything intentionally scientific. But i will say that, because all these groups wind up going back to o babble is such a big deal. Babel and babylon pop up in the craziest places,. an in the biblical world view, in all periods. And we have to realize that hamorabi was an amorite. This is the amorite dynasty of babylon. For the amorites, it actually means lots of chaotic, spoky spiritual stuff. I would say that they do there is a spiritual heritage here in some fashion. It just doesn't seem the right way to talk about this kind of thing.
