The Challenges of Local Government Service Design
Finding information on their websites is difficult and it causes to cause. I'd love to know more people who work in local government as designer but unfortunately I don't know many at least. If you set up an innovation lab there's always the risk of creating an innovation ghetto so that these are the people who are allowed or who can have the permission to think differently where whereas the others just continue their job as they used to. GDS: How could projects be delivered if if it was done by service designers or developers in house? We're thinking about setting up our own service design department in the government.
