The Importance of Service Design in Government
Flanders has a framework contract for service design. I think it is down to the financial pressure and austerity that people realise they can't continue delivering services in the same way. Compared to Germany, where we are originally from, it feels like that they are a little bit behind. So public servants who used to work in their way now start to learn social design techniques. And so our main focus is not central government but local governments.
