Strangers and Sojourners

Anne, a highly educated Englishwoman raised in a family of spiritualists and Fabian socialists, arrives in British Columbia at the end of the First World War seeking adventure.

She meets and marries a trapper-homesteader, an Irish immigrant fleeing his violent past.

The story follows their gradual journey from despair and unbelief to faith, hope, and love, interwoven with scenes from Ireland, England, Poland, Russia, and Belgium during the War, revealing the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.
