#269 Working On Your WEAKNESSES? Should You?
This is another episode of the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT podcast featuring Ray Dalio's "Principles" from the allencheng.com website. What we are going through today? This: That you should actually rely on others, that humans have always been cooperating which led to developing altruism, morality and honor, that you won't be able to view yourself objectively, why finding out that you are bad at something is actually not that bad, that you should and or maybe not work on your weaknesses, that we are all individuals, communications problems and or understanding someone with different thinking, understanding the people you are managing or working with and a tactic to manage people better...and because I have forgotten to read it and it was the last point: think about someone you somehow can't understand in terms of his/her thinking and try to understand them by thinking about what you see and they not. After that, think about something you don't see and someone who could help you seeing it.

#268 How To Talk To People With Different Opinions And Make Better Decisions
This is another episode of the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT podcast featuring the summary of Ray Dalio's "Principles" from the allencheng.com website. This time we are talking about: that seeing more by for example asking others your decisions will be better, that you need to get some information before you really settle for an opinion, the characteristics of close-minded people (getting angry when someone disagrees for example), that you need to show empathy and or just be empathetic (you don't need to show) and kill judgment when you are talking to someone with different opinions, recognizing feelings of tension, the dimensions of humility and open mindedness as well as why rules can be really powerful and could also help you making better decisions that will probably lead you to your goals and keep you happy...just my though haha

#267 Why You Actually Have 2 PEOPLE Inside YOU
This is another part of Ray Dalio's "Principles" from the allencheng.com website on the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT podcast. This time we are talking about: The two barriers to recognizing reality including the ego barrier and the blindspot barrier, some thoughts of mine on reality, why you actually have 2 people inside of you or how the author puts it the two yous, that they are often in a conflict and therefore the reason for a lot of communication problems, so there is a constant fight between your rationale / conscious you and your subconscious you and that failing is ok as well as pain even if your life has told you something different.

#266 How To Give Great COMPLIMENTS
This is another episode of the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT Podcast featuring the ideas.ted.com website and another great article called "The secret to giving a compliment that makes people glow" by Mary Halton. I really enjoyed this one because the message and value it provides is just wonderful and the topic definitely one I love. In detail, we have gone through: that you should definitely give more compliments, why it is correlated to social media and commenting on social media, that you should use the name of the person you are willing to compliment, that you have to make your compliment as specific as possible...no "good job" anymore and that you should stay for a little longer like no "praise and run". I hope you gonna like that one! Wish you the best.

#265 Are You OPEN—MINDED? | Ray Dalio Principles
This is another episode of the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT podcast featuring the allencheng.com website and "Principles" by Ray Dalio as a summary. Today we have actually come quite far..compared to the last few episodes 😃which is great. However, in detail we went through:embracing your mistakes and that failing is good, thinking about life like a game, a funny virus fact, evolving in life and getting better or becoming a master at something and that this beats materialistic stuff when it comes to happiness, the hero's journey, ray dalio's biggest failure, an exercise on how you can recognize and improve on your weaknesses, your blindness and how a team might help you making decisions. I really hope that you are enjoying this one.

#264 Why You Need To Have Internal Drive
This is another part of the Self Development With Tactics / SDWT podcast featuring Jonas Salzgeber's "Little Book Of Stoic" from the thepowermoves.com website. In detail we are going through: why you need to have internal drive and not rely on external prizes, which also plays into focusing on what you can controle, that you should not push back or complain but rather accept the situation and move on, that you should win at what matters like in "the one thing" or "essentialism", that you should practice to shift your state of mind from unproductive to productive fast and that taking action is very very important.
