CoSP Pod. Ep. 27: Dr. Bob Robinson "The Stoic Habit"

Dr. Bob Robinson joins the podcast to discuss his new book "The Stoic Habit: How to Own Your Choices - Even When It's Difficult" BIO: I’m interested in our flaws and their sources, talking about them with people, and being real about the difficulty of the work required to improve. After earning my PhD in philosophy from Purdue University and teaching at Loyola Marymount University as a visiting professor, I went on to teach ethics and Stoicism to incarcerated men and women for several years. My book – The Stoic Habit: How to Own Your Choices – Even When It’s Difficult (Cider Mill Press, 2026) – draws on my experience to offer research-informed Stoic guidance on making better choices. Currently, I hold down a full-time day job, teach part-time in the Honors College at the University of New Mexico, coach Muay Thai, and contribute to a family run business.
