THE KELLY CARDENAS PODCAST PRESENTS MIKE YAGLEY has worked on several programs including: the Patriot ATM warhead, the AMRAAM missile warhead, the CATFAE mine clearing projectile, and armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot (APFSDS) projectiles.  I learned a tremendous amount of information about very high speed impacts and supersonic aerodynamics. My Masters research thesis at Iowa State was a continuation of work started at Chamberlain on unsteady spin rates of APFSDS projectiles in supersonic flow.   I utilized a Mach 4 supersonic wind tunnel for empirical studies. After graduate school I joined the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group working on the high speed civil transport, the next generation Concorde, designed to fly 300 passengers at Mach 2.9.   I worked in the low speed, high lift aerodynamic group designing and analyzing wing slats, flaps and vortex fences. I also worked in the 737 and 757 aerodynamic sales and production support group.   In that role I was fortunate to have been assigned to a project commissioned to safely fly the first commercial airliner into the world’s highest operating airport in Bangda, China.  I flew in the jump seat of a 757 as we approached the 14,219 ft. altitude airport situated in a valley between 20,000 ft peaks. I made the switch from airplanes to golf in 1994.   I started out at Maxfli Golf testing golf balls in South Carolina and then I joined Callaway golf as one of the first members of the R&D group assigned to make the world’s best golf ball.  Over the next 13 years I progressed from being the Testing Engineer, to leading R&D, to being the Vice President of the Golf Ball business category. I am now the VP of Innovation / AI at Cobra PUMA Golf and my team is responsible for innovating constructions, material applications, aerodynamics, and player experiences of Cobra Golf clubs from drivers through putters that deliver better performance, improved feel or whatever is missing in the golfer’s experience.  Our company internal motto is to make “cool stuff that works”.

THE KELLY CARDENAS PODCAST PRESENTS Kionte Storey was born and raised in Stockton, CA where he graduated from Edison High School in June of 2007. On July 2007 he was shipped to Marine Corps Recruit Depot of San Diego where he would soon later graduate and become a United States Marine. After PFC Storey graduated from boot camp, he would attend Infantry Training Battalion of the School of Infantry based at Camp Pendleton, CA. Upon graduation from School of Infantry in December of 2007 PFC. Storey was assigned to his first duty station in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA with 3rd Battalion 7th Marines. LCpl Storey was deployed to Haditha, Iraq to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom from August of 2008 through February of 2009. LCpl Storey was soon deployed to Afghanistan in March 2010 for Operation Enduring Freedom where he sustained his injuries. Storey was a team leader on patrol early one morning in September with his squad. When clearing out a building, he was hit by an IED, sustaining the loss of his lower right limb below the knee and compartment syndrome to his left leg. LCpl Storey was carried out and moved while still leading his junior marine. He was then transported to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan to be treated for his injuries then transported to Bethesda Medical Center in Virginia where he was awarded his Purple Heart and Navy Achievement Medal with Valor Device. Cpl. Storey received treatment from Naval Medical Center of San Diego where he would get his first prosthetic made. After his first year of recovery Cpl. Storey competed in the Warrior Games where he would walk away with two gold medals in the 100 and 200m sprint. From this point, Kionte would find anything he could to challenge himself as an amputee and to prove to himself that nothing is impossible. On January 2013 Kionte summit one of the seven summits, Mt. Vinson Massif located in Antartica with the aid of "The Heroes Project." Currently, Kionte trained in the 100m and 200m sprint for the Paralympics from 2013 - 2018. In 2022 Kionte competed at the Invictus Games 22 in Hague, Netherlands, where he left with one gold medal in the 100m and gold in the 4x100m sprint. Since 2019 Kionte has attended college with hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist or Athletic trainer one day with the desire to work with amputees or individuals with disabilities. THE KELLY CARDENAS PODCAST PRESENTS Coach Shaw is in his first season at the helm of Robert Morris.  Prior to RMU, he spent the six years as the head coach at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), compiling an overall record of 66-48-9 (.573). The winningest coach in program history, Shaw was named the 2016 Mountain West Conference (MWC) Coach of the Year after leading the Rebels to an overall record of 16-4-3 (.761), including a mark of 8-1-2 (.818) in the MWC. UNLV claimed its first conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth since 2007, had a 12-match unbeaten streak during the year, the longest in program history, and also established school records for points (152), goals (51) and assists (50). Prior to being named head coach at UNLV, Shaw spent the 2013 season as the head coach at Barton College in Wilson, N.C.  The Bulldogs posted an overall record of 14-5-1 (.725), and Shaw was selected as the 2013 Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year. He also spent four seasons as head coach at the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C., from 2003 to 2007, compiling an overall record of 52-34 (.605). While leading the Trojans, Shaw orchestrated the greatest turn around in NCAA Division II history, as UMO went from 3-15 (.167) in 2003 to 20-3 (.870) in 2004. Named the 2004 Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, the Trojans produced the highest scoring offense in NCAA Division II. Overall in 12 years as a head coach, Shaw has posted a record of 132-87-10 (.598). He also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Fresno State University (2007-09) as well four years as associate head coach at North Carolina State (2009-12). A native of Fayetteville, N.C., earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and physical education from Methodist University in 1994. He also owns a Master of Arts degree in exercise physiology from East Carolina University, which he earned in 1997. A 1993 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American at Methodist University, Shaw helped the Monarchs earn four consecutive Dixie Intercollege Athletic Conference championships and bids to the NCAA Division III Tournament (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993). Selected to the USA South Conference 50th Anniversary Team, Shaw was named to the 1993 Adidas Scholar-Athlete All-American First Team. Shaw, who played for the Raleigh Flyers of the United Systems of Independent Soccer League (USISL) in 1994, owns a Premier Diploma from the NSCAA and an "A" level national license from U.S. Soccer.
