Moose and Josh sit down with Paramedic Sam Weinstock to talk about medications in cardiac arrest that fall a bit farther down the algorithm. They talk about specifically why and when to use them as well as a couple that we do not give anymore and why that is. Sam Weinstock is a PM/FF working for a large department in the DC Metro region. Prior to joining that department, he worked as a hospital-based paramedic in New Jersey. Sam brings a wealth of experience in both EMS and Hazmat. The Alert Medic 1 Team had a unique opportunity to sit down with FDNY EMS Deputy Chief Gregg Brady. During the episode, they talk about the largest EMS system in the United States, responding to approximately 1.4 million EMS calls every year. Deputy Chief Gregg Brady has been with FDNY for over 15 years and is currently an EMS Deputy Chief assigned to FDNY EMS Division 2 in the South Bronx. He has also worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Kissimmee and operated as a Tactical Paramedic with the City of Kissimmee Police Department SWAT Team. Gregg has additionally worked as a contractor with the Department of State as a high-threat protection specialist/medic in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Alert Medic 1 crew sit down with Dr. Jeff Nusbaum to discuss his view on various topics in Emergency Medicine and EMS from the perspective of a Medical Director. Dr. Jeff Nusbaum is an Emergency Medicine Physician who currently practices in the University of Maryland system. He is formerly the Assistant Medical Director of the Baltimore City Fire Department. In the very near future, he will be taking the reigns of Medical Direction of the Baltimore County Fire Department. He comes into the position with a wealth of experience and the AM1 Team looks forward to his work in the future.

Jasmin Cooke is a LMSW (Licensed Master of Social Work) that is currently working for a PRP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program). She is also an Mental Health Therapist that specializes in OCD using ERP and ICBT.
