Using SEO to Exploit ChatGPT and Bard

E12: Many people think ChatGPT and Bard will kill SEO. It will. But not at the bottom of the funnel where the purchase intent is. Bottom-of-funnel SEO will remain wildly lucrative past the death of search engines. This type of SEO works incredibly well with both search engines AND generative AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Bard, and Bing. In today's episode I explain what bottom-of-funnel SEO is and why it's a tremendous hedge against AI. And for a bonus, "It's better to be optimistic and wrong, than pessimistic and right."

Brain Reprogramming, Dudewithasign, and the Marketing Funnel

E11: My friend, Yuriy of Darngoodads.com, sent me some gold for changing your mindset to wanting to work more. I then discuss how Dudewithsign originated from F Jerry - the Instagram Meme Viral Marketing Agency page. If you're curious about the origins of the famous Dude With A Sign meme, this explains it. Finally I explain the marketing funnel: Top of the funnel. Middle of the funnel. Bottom of the funnel. I give examples of marketing I've done at each part of the funnel and touch upon how the most hidden opportunities are at the bottom of the funnel.

When It Rains It Pours - Not Giving up on Prospecting and a Big Leap in Content Automation

E10: A friend's prospects started closing all at once after prospecting with no progress for five weeks. I talk about how I record these Podcasts through Twitter Spaces and why I do things this way. And I discovered a major content automation trick this morning, which will: 1. Save me a lot of effort. 2. Save me a lot of time. 3. Make my content better. I'm hyped. What's interesting about this automation is I got it from a different area of my life: these daily podcasts. Had I not started the daily podcasts, I wouldn't have discovered this trick. These lessons illustrate the power of consistency. Getting 1% better each day is a fallacy. It actually happens in bursts and leaps. But when it does happen, it's dramatic and refreshing. So stick with it! Stay consistent.

Twitter's Power Play Over Threads and Why You Should Steal Like Zuck

E9: Easily my best episode yet. Treadmill friends vs. sofa friends and how this podcast is your treadmill friend. Twitter's Ad Revenue Sharing program for creators - and how Threads will not copy this one. Everybody wants to invent like Jobs but stealing like Zuck is way easier. How I steal. How I've been stolen from: our project, World of Ether, spawned Axie Infinity and God's Unchained. And how one of the top Viral Marketing studios out there flagrantly steals content from everybody. Don't be ashamed! Create!… Even if you're putting your own spin on others' creations.

I Made This Mistake for a Full Decade

E8: I would have saved myself so much time, and capital had I been doing frequent reflective journaling. This very wealthy entrepreneur I know, Alex Mashinsky, was just arrested on charges of fraud. Looking pretty bad for him. He was already well off before he started Celsius, the company that got him into this mess. I wonder if he would have made these same mistakes if he had been doing frequent reflective journaling. He may have realized life is short and precious, and he's already well off. He may not have defrauded investors. For the common person as well - reflective journaling can have tremendous consequences. You see the forest you've been laboring in and can orient your ship. I believe everybody is closer to success than they realize. Success is just a bunch of good decisions away. And you can more easily make those good decisions with reflective journaling.

DON'T Build in Stealth Mode

E7: I meet too many people wasting their time and personal capital building in "stealth mode" because their idea is "so good that everybody will steal it." They won't. Building in stealth is a costly mistake. Building in stealth is only good if you have warm investors and you can easily raise off speculation. For most others, fundraising will be a grueling process. Instead, you should build in public. In this podcast, I give three building in stealth fails and one build in public success. Fails are far more common than successes because few people are courageous enough to put themselves out there by building in public. But you should. Here's why and how.

People Underestimate What They Can Do in a Year

E6: I got recognized at an event yesterday by somebody who watches my daily videos. I started making videos in November last year. I do the Content Inc method and do it every day. Most people overestimate what they can do in a week and underestimate what they can do in a year. Pick something you love so you can do it every day for years.

I Paid $1.64 to Twitter Ads to Get Over 1,000 Listeners

E5: I discovered a hack for promoting my new podcast: Twitter Ads. I paid $1.64 for over 1,000 listeners, or $0.00164 cents per listener. Insane! If you have a new podcast, this may be an amazing way to promote it. In this episode, I share how I set up these ads. If you record through an external service, you can still promote a podcast with an audio embed within Twitter and then run cheap ads to that. This tactic is not without problems, however, and I also get into some of the challenges faced with this. Finally, at 18:00, I really get into the zone speaking. Hope you enjoy.

I Rank First for Build in Public and Regret It

E4: I used a repeatable method to rank #1 on TikTok for "Build in Public," an entrepreneurship movement that I love deeply. However, this was a mistake. I should have considered brand a lot more. I rank #1 because my handle is "Build in Public" and I got fairly big. But now the traffic from ranking first for this keyword doesn't matter to me and I have a brand name that is not as sexy as it could have been. Here's what I would have done differently at the beginning if I wanted to continue ranking 1 for "Build in Public" while having a different, more unique brand name.
