A twelve-year-old boy gets suspended for bringing 'a message of hate' in the form of the Gadsden flag on a backpack. When challenged on this by his mother, she was informed that the school prohibits the wearing of anything that promotes 'drugs, tobacco, alcohol or weapons...' Yes? AND?
