The way we speak to one another matters. The way we speak to one another is not a reflection of the mouth, but a reflection of the heart. Are you speaking life, or are you speaking death? ¹⁹ addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, ²⁰ giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹ submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. – Ephesians 5:19-21

The most commanded one another is to love one another. You can't love one another if you lie to one another. There's plenty of reasons why we lie; maybe it's for the applause of man or maybe it's to keep parts of our lives in the dark. But Jesus died on the cross so we can live in light of the gospel and walk in the freedom Christ came to give us. ⁹ Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices ¹⁰ and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. - Colossians 3:9-10

Last week, Pastor Joby taught through exhorting one another, holding one another accountable and pointing back to the eternal well of living water only Christ can offer. There's a difference between exhorting and passing judgment. It's putting your own preferences and opinions aside and continuously pointing to the gospel. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. - Romans 8:1

We all get thirsty for the temporary things of this world that will never satisfy. Do you have people in your life to point you back to the eternal well of living water of Jesus Christ? Are you doing that to others? But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. - Hebrews 3:13

You will find what you are looking for. If you are looking for reasons to not believe, there are many: social, theological, historical, religious, traditional…but if you are looking for true life, you will find it in Jesus alone.
