Dr. Vaughan has been a licensed physician since 1979. During the first third of her medical career, she practiced Emergency Medicine in Galax, VA, Lexington, NC, and Martinsville, VA. In 1991, she left the emergency room and opened the first urgent care ambulatory medical practice in Martinsville. This quickly expanded into a thriving holistic practice. She relocated this practice to Greensboro, NC in December 2002. She graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 1975, with Distinction in Chemistry. She earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia, graduating in 1979. She then completed a flexible internship and a residency in Internal Medicine at Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center in Kalamazoo, MI in 1982.
