“You have not loved anything without being its slave, but He does not want you to be someone else’s slave”. Compared to other emotions, love is a feeling which makes a person totally selfless, emotionally humbled and dedicated to their object of affection. "Just as He does not love the deed possessed of associationism, so similarly He does not love the heart possessed of associationism. As for the deed possessed of associationism, He does not accept it; and as for the heart possessed of associationism, He does not draw near to it". Allah the Most Exalted loves and accepts that heart and deed which is solely dedicated to Him. The Shaykh explains how to safeguard oneself from any type of corrupt deed or corrupt heart and what factors sow the seeds to their contamination.
