Rick is the author of You Found Me: New Research on How Unchurched Nones, Millennials, and Irreligious Are Surprisingly Open to Christian Faith Rick sees how coaching is essential to the church to help her fulfill her potential. Check out this statistic from Rick's work with the Church Evangelism Initiative: Without coaching, they were seeing 10% success. Adding coaching and changing nothing else, success jumped to 50%. Now to go higher, they are adding a heavier coaching element.

Quite often when a coaching relationship isn't working, you should revisit the agreements. Agreements are not a "set it and forget it" item. Evan says the first thing to ask is "What do you want the visitor to do on your site?" Most likely, you want the visitor to take an action. Make it obvious what option you want the visitor to take.

Chad and Brian discuss self-differentiated leadership championed by Edwin Friedman in his book A Failure of Nerve. The five aspects that Friedman says self-differentiates leaders are: A capacity to get outside the emotional climate of the day. A willingness to be exposed and vulnerable. Persistence in the face of resistance and downright rejection. Stamina in the face of sabotage along the way. Being "headstrong" and "ruthless"—at least in the eyes of others.
