Never Give Up, Never Surrender

On September 2, 1945, on the deck of the battleship USS Missouri, the Japanese Empire formally and unconditionally surrendered. With that, the second world war was over and everyone stopped fighting, went home, and lived happily ever after. Except, not everyone. There were a surprisingly large number of holdouts who either didn’t know that Japan surrendered, or didn’t believe it. Learn more about the Japanese soldiers who never surrendered on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily.Subscribe to the podcast! https://link.chtbl.com/EverythingEverywhere?sid=ShowNotesTry Ka'Chava, your daily super blend for health-conscious people on-the-gohttps://www.kachava.com/Everywhere--------------------------------Executive Producer: Darcy AdamsAssociate Producers: Peter Bennett & Thor Thomsen Become a supporter on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/everythingeverywhereUpdate your podcast app at newpodcastapps.comSearch Past Episodes at fathom.fmDiscord Server: https://discord.gg/UkRUJFhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/Twitter: https://twitter.com/everywheretripWebsite: https://everything-everywhere.com/everything-everywhere-daily-podcast/Everything Everywhere is an Airwave Media podcast." or "Everything Everywhere is part of the Airwave Media podcast networkPlease contact sales@advertisecast.com to advertise on Everything Everywhere. Morse Code

In 1838, an American portrait painter by the name of Samuel Morse developed a system whereby signals could be sent down an electrical wire. This system allowed for information to be sent almost instantly over vast distances. However, sending pulses of electromagnetic energy down a wire isn’t in and of itself communication. So, he developed a system to encode these pulses in a way that was legible.Learn more about Morse Code, how it works and how it is actually still used today, on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily.Subscribe to the podcast! https://link.chtbl.com/EverythingEverywhere?sid=ShowNotesTry Ka'Chava, your daily superblend for for health conscious people on-the-gohttps://www.kachava.com/Everywhere--------------------------------Executive Producer: Darcy AdamsAssociate Producers: Peter Bennett & Thor Thomsen Become a supporter on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/everythingeverywhereUpdate your podcast app at newpodcastapps.comSearch Past Episodes at fathom.fmDiscord Server: https://discord.gg/UkRUJFhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/Twitter: https://twitter.com/everywheretripWebsite: https://everything-everywhere.com/everything-everywhere-daily-podcast/Everything Everywhere is an Airwave Media podcast." or "Everything Everywhere is part of the Airwave Media podcast networkPlease contact sales@advertisecast.com to advertise on Everything Everywhere. The History of Horses in North America

When one thinks of the history of North America, it often invokes images of native Americans and cowboys riding on horseback. However, horses weren’t in the Westen Hemisphere when Europeans arrived. There was a time when if native people had to move from one place to another, they had to do so on foot. But, while that is true, the truth is more complex because if you go back far enough, there was a time when horses were in North America. Learn more about the complicated history of horses in North America, and how they unleashed a revolution, on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily.Subscribe to the podcast! https://podfollow.com/everythingeverywhere/--------------------------------Executive Producer: Darcy AdamsAssociate Producers: Peter Bennett & Thor Thomsen Become a supporter on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/everythingeverywhereUpdate your podcast app at newpodcastapps.comDiscord Server: https://discord.gg/UkRUJFhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/Twitter: https://twitter.com/everywheretripWebsite: https://everything-everywhere.com/everything-everywhere-daily-podcast/Everything Everywhere is an Airwave Media podcast." or "Everything Everywhere is part of the Airwave Media podcast networkPlease contact sales@advertisecast.com to advertise on Everything Everywhere. The Atacama Desert

Situated in the north of the nation of Chile lies one of the most extreme environments on Planet Earth. The Atacama Desert. What makes the Atacama Desert so unique isn’t its size or its temperature, it is the amount of precipitation it gets….or rather the lack thereof. It is precipitation that defines what a desert is, and by that logic, the Atacama is the most desert-y of all the deserts. Learn more about the Atacama Desert and what makes it so different and special, on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily.Subscribe to the podcast! https://podfollow.com/everythingeverywhere/--------------------------------Executive Producer: Darcy AdamsAssociate Producers: Peter Bennett & Thor Thomsen Become a supporter on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/everythingeverywhereUpdate your podcast app at newpodcastapps.comDiscord Server: https://discord.gg/UkRUJFhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/Twitter: https://twitter.com/everywheretripWebsite: https://everything-everywhere.com/everything-everywhere-daily-podcast/Everything Everywhere is an Airwave Media podcast." or "Everything Everywhere is part of the Airwave Media podcast networkPlease contact sales@advertisecast.com to advertise on Everything Everywhere. Precision Munitions

In 1940, an investigation conducted by the British military found that only 1 in 5 of their bombers were actually landing bombs within five miles of their intended targets. This level of inaccuracy wasn’t just dangerous in terms of collateral damage, but it was horrible in terms of achieving military objectives. This inaccuracy has led to the development of ever more precise munitions, which is still going on today.Learn more about precision munitions and how it is possible to drop a bomb in a pickle barrel, on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily.Subscribe to the podcast! https://podfollow.com/everythingeverywhere/--------------------------------Executive Producer: Darcy AdamsAssociate Producers: Peter Bennett & Thor Thomsen Become a supporter on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/everythingeverywhereUpdate your podcast app at newpodcastapps.comDiscord Server: https://discord.gg/UkRUJFhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/Twitter: https://twitter.com/everywheretripWebsite: https://everything-everywhere.com/everything-everywhere-daily-podcast/Everything Everywhere is an Airwave Media podcast." or "Everything Everywhere is part of the Airwave Media podcast networkPlease contact sales@advertisecast.com to advertise on Everything Everywhere.
