From 100k to $1M in yearly revenue, Busy Baby’s Founder Beth Fynbo shares exactly how she’s done it as a one-woman show

Joining me in this episode is Beth Fynbo - the Founder of Busy Baby! Busy Baby is the company behind a nifty thing called the Busy Baby Mat and was born out of seeing first hand how difficult it can be when your baby is old enough to start grabbing at things on a table. Beth was a new mum at 40 and looking for products to help her and her friends as new mums, but struggled to find exactly what she had in her mind. She started creating a prototype for her product at home and then set about finding someone to help her bring this idea to life. We’re talking about the specific steps she took to validate her idea - which was pure genius, how much of her savings she needed to get started, the problems she faced when she started the patent process, what it’s like going through the target accelerator program and the exacts steps she took to grow from 100k in yearly revenue to $1m in sales all the while being a one-woman show. LINKS WE MENTION: Busy Baby!’s Website Busy Baby!’s InstagramBeth Fynbo’s InstagramFemale Startup Club’s InstagramResource for non profit military vetarans or spouses on how to start a business. In partnership with Klaviyo, the best email marketing tool for ecommerce businesses.📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast. “Do you even floss?” Cocofloss Founders Catherine & Chrystle Cu on changing the human behaviours behind flossing

Everyone hates it when the dentist tells you to floss. It’s like that thing that you know you need to do - that will prevent most of the issues with your teeth and gums yet you don’t do it. And you certainly don’t meet many people who say they LOVE flossing. Right? Well, Chrystle and Catherine are changing that and the way we think about flossing. Founded by a dentist and her self confessed lazy flosser sister, Cocofloss is on a mission to make flossing a fun and rewarding part of everyone’s self-care routine. They set out to make it a ritual to love instead of something that was a total pain in the butt. By tapping into human behaviour and taking note from brands who create stunning packaging and products that women actually want to highlight on their bathroom shelfie, Cocofloss set out to create a beautifully packaged piece that you’d be proud to display at the front and centre of your bathroom cabinet to keep it front of mind. They also took other pain points like how it felt between your teeth, the colour of floss, the smell of the floss and even what its made from to flip the current experience upside down and make this something a ritual you actually enjoy doing every single day. This episode got me wanting to floss immediately and I hope it does the same for you!LINKS WE MENTION Cocofloss WebsiteCocofloss' InstagramFemale Startup Club's InstagramBook: The Dental Diet by Dr. Steven LinPromotion: 15% off your first purchase with COCOBOSS through 12/31In partnership with Klaviyo, the best email marketing tool for ecommerce businesses.📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast.
