Something To Ponder on the 22nd Anniversary of 9/11

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (09/11/23), Hank recalls one of the most epic events in American history that took place 22 years ago—the Manhattan massacre of September 11, 2001. And yet in those 22 years, we have largely become complacent to the Islamic terrorism that spawned its devastation. Some have forgotten, and others are blithely unaware of the reality that Islam is the only significant religious system in the history of the human race with a socio-political structure of laws that mandate violence against the infidel. And that this graphic global reality makes Islam a religious ideology espousing terrorism as a permanent policy rather than a temporary expedient. Tragically, the current narrative is that to tell the truth in this regard is tantamount to radicalizing Muslims and exacerbating hostilities that might otherwise lie dormant. That narrative is, of course, patently false. We are at a tipping point in history. While squarely in the blind spot of the West, Christians in the Middle East face mass genocide. Concurrently, a demographic time bomb threatens a Western world seemingly blind to the polygamous rush of migrant Muslims filling the vacuum left by aging, dying, and aborted Europeans. The only real solution to a disintegrating West and resurgent Islam is the power of the Gospel. Thus, says Hank, it is crucial for the church to awaken from a diabetic coma brought on by a steady diet of fast-food Christianity. We must not only be intellectually equipped to communicate the truth of the gospel via answers, biblical literacy, and countering cults—but also be internally equipped during this anti-Judeo-Christian moment. What that means is that the church must be energized for its mission—by a power that is in it but not of it, as underscored by the Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:29. This is the energy that alone is sufficient to empower a twenty-first-century Pentecost moment.

Best of BAM: The Timeless Biblical Principle of Giving, and Q&A

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank shares his thoughts on the timeless biblical principle of giving and encourages listeners to make a profound difference in the world today through giving generously to churches and Christian organizations so that the gospel can go out to the ends of the earth.Hank also answers the following questions:How is it just for everyone to be condemned because of Adam’s sin? Since Romans 5 says that we all fell in Adam, does that mean everyone will be redeemed by Christ? (4:27)Since the details of Jesus’ life between age twelve and thirty weren’t recorded in the Bible, how can we know that He was sinless? (15:38)Should we take Mark 9:47 literally, or should this be spiritualized? (17:53)Is it acceptable for believers to continue in sin since we have been forgiven in Christ? What exactly is sin? (22:09)
