In a heartbreaking turn of events, an Ontario mother finds herself victim to a Taylor Swift ticket scam, losing $1,600 in her attempt to fulfill her 15-year-old daughter's dream of attending the Eras Tour concert in Toronto. After diligently signing up for a verified fan account and being waitlisted for tickets, she fell prey to a social media post promising available tickets. Despite initial hesitation, the scammer's false reassurances led her to electronically transfer the money, only to demand an additional $250 for a non-existent Ticketmaster tax fee.
