Laura DeGroot on Fitness, Faith, and Veganism

Laura overcame extreme adversity and emotional anguish as a teenager when she was forced to eat meat against her will at a treatment center for eating disorders. In fact, for much of her life, she’s been told to eat animal products by doctors and fellow athletes, which caused her to constantly feel sick and depressed.But over the past decade, she has learned to eat in a way that serves both her body and heart.
