Once every two years, our EFCA family gathers for a conference called EFCA One. Where and how does the Bible teach us this vital truth? What does it look like to attempt to live it out in life and ministry? On this episode of the podcast, we discuss the biblical call to make disciples among all people with Dr. Peter Cha.Dr. Cha has served as Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School since 1997. Prior to that, he served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and planted a multi-ethnic church. He is the author of “Following Jesus without Dishonoring Your Parents” and “Growing Healthy Asian American Churches” as well as the book chapter “This Side of Heaven: Race, Ethnicity and Christian Faith.”

A Biblical and Historical Overview.Dr. George serves as the Dean and Professor of Divinity, History and Doctrine at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Ala.

At the 2015 EFCA One Conference, we hosted a breakout seminar on Faith and Work called Faith at Work: Made to Flourish. In 2008, the EFCA adopted an updated, strengthened Statement of Faith. Following that update, the EFCA Spiritual Heritage Committee wrote the book Evangelical Convictions: An Exposition of the Statement of Faith of the EFCA to help pastors and church leaders better understand what we believe. In this episode, EFCA president Kevin Kompelien reads the first chapter of Evangelical Convictions. You can find the whole book (in print or a kindle version) here.

In 2014, the EFCA Theology Conference took up the theme of "Christian Faithfulness in a Changing Culture." At the beginning of that conference we invited Dr. Fred Sanders to teach a preconference seminar on the doctrine of the Trinity called God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity. On this episode we share his opening lecture, Approaching the Doctrine of the Trinity.Dr. Sanders serves as an Associate Professor for the Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University in La Mirada, CA. In 2015, the EFCA Theology Conference focused on the doctrine of the Scriptures.
