It was an absolute joy to cook elevenses for the one and only Andrew Ridgeley last week. Never before has a guest been more thorough and specific when we asked about their last supper. Arriving by bus, he told us all about the wonderful Wham! documentary, about his time in the band, his perfectionism when cooking, his epic 10-day bike ride across the UK and we discovered that not only are Club Tropicana drinks free…. they were also made of coloured water. Wham! Our latest guest Raven Smith is a writer, columnist, best selling author, man about town and a meme king. This week he popped round for dinner, I barbecued some pink sea bream, we got a special ‘Hot Jessie’ pizza delivery from Dinner For One Hundred & we topped the whole evening off with an array of Gengelly's delicious desserts. This week we have a musician, singer, songwriter, composer, TV star and political campaigner - there is nothing he cannot do - it’s Jon Batiste! He’s won Grammys, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and even an Oscar, and now he’s popped round to mine for a Middle Eastern Mezze inspired brunch. A New Orleans native, music & food have always been a huge part of Jon’s life, and he told us all about his love of Red Beans & Rice, Po Boy Sandwiches, Crawfish Boils and Pepperoni Pizza with a dollop of honey. Usually I bump into Jaime in a festival field or in a club, so it’s a lovely change to have her round for a spot of lunch at mine! Despite being a massive foodie, Jaime admits she isn’t the best cook… but she told us all about her food adventures in Sicily, her total love of a farm shop and why bread sauce and cherry brandy ice lollies are absolute essentials! Mum was over the moon this week to be joined by fellow Mancunian and music legend Noel Gallagher for a spot of brunch ahead of the release of his new album 'Council Skies'. Mum and Noel got on like a house on fire sharing all their tales from up north. Noel shared a few vital revelations; that he always drinks tea with goats milk, he’s only ever had one driving lesson, he didn’t try a boiled egg until he turned 30 (!!), and his favourite weekend of the year is getting pissed and watching the Eurovision Song Contest! Jake Shears

Ahead of the release of his epic new album 'Last Man Dancing’ this Friday, we have the one and only Jake Shears joining us for a spot of dinner. Mum served up a delicious healthy turbot and samphire for main with poached pears for pud. Jake was utterly charming, he told us all about the various places he lived while growing up, including the island his family moved to off the coast of Seattle where it's inhabited by foot long Banana Slugs (Google it, they’re gross!), the beautiful and moving story of his best friend who inspired the hit song ‘Mary’, and drinking the mysterious ‘magic tonic’ purple drinks with the locals on Bourbon Street in his second home of New Orleans - a must do apparently!
