What Gnosticism ISN’T (And Why It Matters)
When exploring the path to Gnosis, it is often easier to figure out what it isn’t than what it is. Jason, Deacon Jon, and Nick discourse about the modern discourse around Gnosticism to map out the false paths, dead ends, and online grifts that could lead seekers astray.

Navigating Gnostic Media in 2026
Jason, Deacon Jon, and Nic explore the messy intersections of Gnostic discourse and the 2026 digital landscape, where the “demiurgic” influence of algorithms often favors provocative takes over Gnostic insight. We explore the reality of “audience capture” (how creators can become trapped by the very content that performs well) and the prevalence of media labeled “Gnostic” that often functions more like a lifestyle brand or a conspiracy rabbit hole than a path to gnosis.

Gnosticism in 2026
Your hosts Jason, Jon, and Nic, sit down to map the landscape of Gnosticism in 2026. We explore why Gnosis is less about discovering a single, world-altering secret and more about the ongoing journey of investigation.
Our conversation goes everywhere and we tackle the “abundance of riches” available to modern seekers, while examining the rise of polarized, “prison planet” nihilism and the commodification of rebellion in online spaces. From befriending uncertainty to constructing your own spiritual map, we talk how to maintain deep criticality without losing the intent for connection. Join in on our discussion in the comments below!

The Aeons Revealed: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life w/ William Charnock
We welcome back creative visionary William Charnock to discuss his Aeon cards as well as how the cosmology of the Aeons (divine emanations) can be used as a practical tool for navigating daily life. William explains how these ancient “resonances” bridge the gap between psychology and spiritual mystery, helping us move beyond the “False God” of the ego to uncover hidden truths within ourselves.
But we don’t just talk theory; we put the cards to the test! William performs a live, on-air reading for the year 2026, offering a relevant forecast for the future of Talk Gnosis and our community. See a pic of it at https://imgur.com/a/lNd2gD7

St. Nicholas, Arius, & Hersey
Did Santa Claus really punch a heretic in the face? And why are the hosts talking about magic bone juice? In this Talk Gnosis, we’re unpacking the legendary story of St. Nicholas losing his cool at the Council of Nicaea. We dive deep into the ancient beef between Saint Nicholas and the “heretic” Arius to find out why a theological debate over the nature of Jesus turned into a physical altercation that might have landed with jolly old St. Nick a in prison.
Beyond the slap, we explore the real history of the Council of Nicaea (spoiler: they didn’t actually burn all the secret Gnostic books there), the politics of Emperor Constantine, and the weird afterlife of St. Nicholas. Join Jason, Deacon John, and Nic Laccetti as we separate history from myth and look for the Gnostic spark in the big holiday season.

“The Warriors” & Gnosticism w/Bishop Lainie Petersen
“Warriors, come out to play!” This week on Talk Gnosis, we are thrilled to welcome back former host, frequent guest, and retired Gnostic Bishop Lainie Petersen to hit the streets and break down Walter Hill’s 1979 cult classic, “The Warriors.” While on the surface this film is a gritty journey through a gang-ruled New York, we are digging much deeper into its mythological roots to explore how this masterpiece serves as an allegory for Gnostic concepts of ascent, descent, and the struggle against the Archons that patrol our reality.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the Warriors’ leather vests or just looking for a fresh take on spiritual transformation through pop culture, this conversation is one wild ride. Can you dig it?! CAN YOU DIG IT!!!?

Redemption Through Imagination: Storytelling & Gnosis w/Card Streamstone
It’s time to talk some Gnosis with our guest Card Stream Stone, a multifaceted creator whose work exists at the intersection of ancient spiritual knowledge and contemporary media. Card is a video game creator, poet, oral storyteller, zinester, ritualist, and educator, drawing inspiration from paths as diverse as Norse Paganism, Arthurian legend, and Folk Catholicism.
Card shares his compelling journey through multiple spiritual traditions, explaining why he embraces a pluralistic approach and how he’s synthesizing these diverse influences. We explore the idea that “religion is fun” and how this playful, exploratory attitude is key to spiritual growth, particularly in a complex, high-stimulation modern society.

Cryptkeeper Avenger with Dr. David Goodin
Greetings, boils and ghouls! The ancient curse has been broken, and Dr. David Goodin has risen from his tomb to discuss a grave new topic: the theology of Tales from the Crypt. We dig into the property’s entire history, from its rebellious 1950s EC Comics origins that defied “picture book Bibles” to the infamous congressional moral panic it sparked. We also explore the iconic 1990s HBO series, its all-star cast, and the cackling, pun-spewing host at the center of it all: the Crypt Keeper.
Dr. Goodin unpacks his paper, “The Crypt Keeper as God’s Avenger,” and we explore everything from the devil an unwitting agent of divine justice, Tales from the Crypt’s place in the zeitgeist, the ethics of enjoying horror, Enochian Watcher angels, and more.
Dr Goodin is teaching an online course on Theodicy and the Problem of Evil in Winter 2026. You should take it, you can download the flyer for it at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_4Ti8sLKj3W7VZISwZt-YZ-1Sctpawq7/view?usp=sharing

Witch Fighters, Hector Plasm, & Benandanti w/ Benito Cereno
In this special Halloween-season interview, Benito Cereno returns to Talk Gnosis to discuss the return of his occult detective comic series, “Hector Plasm.” Cereno dives deep into the real-world folklore that grounds the comic’s protagonist: the Benandanti. Meaning “good walkers” or “well-walkers” in Italian, the Benandanti were members of a 16th and 17th-century agrarian cult who claimed their spirits left their bodies to fight “evil witches” in spiritual battles. Cereno explains how he weaves the Benandanti’s blend of folk-Christian belief and spiritual warfare into Hector’s modern-day adventures as a ghost hunter and witch fighter, and we discuss why this genuine, historically recorded mythology lends this work, and others, an authentic resonance.
Beyond the Benandanti, Cereno, Jason, and Deacon Jon explore the enduring power of myth and folklore in storytelling, why Santa is real, why you should buy a Chucky Fanta so they give us money, pagan survivals, bigfoot, and so much more.

God Is Dead? Gnostics solve the mystery!
Was Nietzsche right? Is God dead? Did he have to die to make room for the modern world?
Join Jason and Nic as they dig into ‘Death of God’ theology.
For some, it is positing the literal death of God as a necessary step of development for Creation.
For others, it’s that the challenges of the world as presented no longer align to the morality of God as developed thousands of years ago, and this older idea needs to ‘die’ to be able to move past it.
Along the way, we explain what this can mean as Gnostics. You can see the ‘God’ these theologies describe as entities of limitation: the Demiurge and the Archons. In pursuit of Gnosis, we make contact with the Wisdom, the source that transcends any single definition of ‘God.’ And it fills the space left by the type of God that dies in this theology.
