Chaz Kellem is the Manager of Diversity Initiatives with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he leads by example to help the community and region in making Pittsburgh a better place to live and work. Chaz was diagnosed with a rare bone disorder at birth, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes the bones to break easily. With over 40 broken bones and more than 12 operations, Chaz still has the passion, motivation and energy to make a difference.Chaz graduated from Edinboro University with a degree in Sports Administration. While at Edinboro, he served as the Vice President of Student Government and worked with young students for three years in Residence Life. Chaz serves on several non-profit boards including the Edinboro Alumni Board, Consumer Health Coalition, UCP Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Network. He also serves on state and city committees for the governor and mayor. He is the coach for a wheelchair basketball team and also plays second base for Pittsburgh’s only wheelchair competitive softball team. Support the show
