We also must ensure that we don’t wind up with a leadership structure that keeps the status quo but is loyal to Trump as a person but not the issues motivating his base. It has become abundantly clear that the party as a whole – with few exceptions – does not share our values and will never fight for us no matter how bad things get. However, I do caution that Matt Gaetz has made it easier for McCarthy to betray us and likely survive a motion to vacate because of his antics. Chip Roy had a much better strategy for dealing with the RINOS. To be clear, though, this does not absolve McCarthy and the gang of their betrayal. What have we always wanted in a leader? Someone with courage, knowledge of the issues, unyielding principles, good personnel choices, and the ability to fight through and articulate during a period of adversity. On those fronts, the choice between Trump and DeSantis could not be clearer. I play several clips today contrasting the two of them on their desire and ability to fight for us on the issues that actually matter in the way they matter. Did the Constitution and its classical liberal values fail us? Today, I make the case that although imperfect, our Constitution was indeed the best system and there is no better alternative. However, no form of government can survive an ignorant, complacent, and uninformed population. I argue that not only do we have "normie" swing voters who are uninformed to the gravity of our societal collapse, we face "normie Republicans" who are completely uninformed about what their own party is doing. This has allowed Trump to get away with so many policy betrayals. Few people outside Twitter even follow these things. This is the same reason why nearly every incumbent RINO wins re-election in deep red states.
