We Could Own Red States Tomorrow if We Actually Tried | 1/31/24
Imagine if we actually had a movement focused on our own sphere of influence where a majority of voters agree with us. Today, I go through the case of a family in Montana claiming their child was taken by state family services and forcibly transitioned to a boy. The Montana governor is feeling the heat. We have both the imperative and ability to change the culture of red states before it’s too late. I also discuss an insane election bill in South Dakota that is now facing scrutiny thanks to yours truly. The Dakotas are full of leftist Republicans, but only because conservative media focuses on Taylor Swift all day. Just remember: It doesn’t have to be this way. Learn more about your ad choices. Articulating an America-First Foreign Policy Devoid of False Choices | Guest: Kyle Shideler | 1/30/24
Some on the Right are claiming that we need to be pacifist in the face of Iranian aggression lest we risk a return to 20 years of neocon, Wilsonian interventionism. We’re joined today by Kyle Shideler of the Center for Security Policy, who shows us how these voices on the Right are misjudging the Biden administration. Biden has no intention of starting a war with Iran and is in fact using our soldiers as hostages so when they inevitably get attacked, he can blame Israel. He explains how simply returning to Trump-era alliances would restore deterrent without sucking us into a painful war. Also, I go through some of the early congressional primaries and urge listeners to vote against incumbents. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A Movement Built Upon Inputs Over Outcomes | 1/29/24
It’s not the thought that counts in life but the results. Our entire movement has been acculturated to cheering on symbolic inputs on politicians rather than focusing on and demanding outcomes. This is why we had the flash point over Shelby Park at the border while Greg Abbott continues to disappoint where it matters. This is why Congress is focusing on impeaching Mayorkas while funding the border invasion. And this is why we continue electing RINOs in deep red states, often with Trump’s support. Today, I discuss how I tried my hardest to keep James Lankford out of the Senate in Oklahoma, but Trump endorsed him again and he is supporting new RINOs even this year. State Enforcement Is All That Matters in the Border Debate | Guest: Jessica Vaughan | 1/26/24
We cannot allow the GOP governors to embrace our issues while subverting them when it matters. This week’s red-state "solidarity with Texas" movement has a lot of promise, but only if it is directed toward Texas fully assuming control over immigration and other states following. We cannot allow the Shelby Park razor-wire security perimeter to become a red herring while Biden continue to facilitate the surge of illegal aliens elsewhere. We’re joined by Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies, who offers five innovative ways red states can dissuade illegal aliens from setting foot in their states. Between incentives to self-repatriate, criminalizing their presence, and cutting off their ability to work, they would leave the states regardless of what Biden is doing at the border. She also warns about contract labor organizations that help feed large companies with cheap labor and how states can go after their de facto human trafficking violations. It Is So Easy for Red States to Thwart Federal Tyranny | Guest: Sen. Denny Hoskins | 1/25/24
The fight between Texas and the Biden administration and the Supreme Court is a teachable moment. We are seeing how easy it is for red states to push back if they actually choose to do so. I explain the dynamics of this fight and how we are still not at the inflection point, but so far we have all the ingredients for a successful interposition. It’s also interesting how conservative media is not pressuring Trump to comment on this issue. Next, we’re joined by Missouri state Senator Denny Hoskins (R), a Freedom Caucus member who was just removed from his committee chairmanship for actually pushing conservative legislation. He is working to expose the “campaign conservatives” who run in deep red states but then govern like Democrats. Hoskins is also running for secretary of state and promises to push an agenda of in-person, Election Day, paper ballot elections with cameras in the polling stations. The moral of the story is that red states could easily ignore the federal government, but we first have to make them truly red. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We Must Not Ignore Down-Ballot Primaries | 1/24/24
All conservative media cares about is Trump and the general election. But we have 9.5 months left to this election, and now is the time to focus on the primaries. Yes, Trump is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, but the primary is still going on. What is a primary? It means focusing on our own people. We can still influence Trump and move him to the right on the issues. We can still prevent Trump from elevating liberals like Tim Scott and Doug Burgum to positions of prominence. We can still focus on red-state legislative sessions. And yes, we must focus on electing conservatives in the upcoming state and congressional primaries. The problem is that the entire establishment is endorsing Trump, thereby ensuring that Trump often endorses establishment candidates in their down-ballot races against Trump’s own MAGA supporters. It is indefensible for Trump influencers not to focus on these issues, personnel, and races. The fact that they don’t demonstrates that either they are not using their influence with Trump or they lack the influence they claim to wield. Learn more about your ad choices. The Need for Texas to Ignore the Court and Finally Slay Judicial Supremacism | 1/23/24
In light of the court’s ruling to greenlight Biden’s border invasion, Texas not only has an opportunity to stand against the invasion but to undermine the entire premise of judicial supremacism. In this fact-filled show, I explain the true design of the federal judiciary and how the founders envisioned constitutional decompartmentalism, not judicial supremacism. First, I go through a bunch of recent cases showing how Trump’s three appointees are screwing us on critical issues and do not measure up to Thomas and Alito – yet another example of how we have gone backward under Trump. Next, I explain how the understanding that we don’t have a conservative court should finally push our side to reject judicial supremacism altogether. Each branch of the state and federal government has its own responsibility to follow the Constitution as it understands it. Unless we return to this model, red states will be forced to act like blue states by the federal judiciary. Now is the greatest inflection moment we’ve had for quite some time to finally slay the beast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Unanswered Questions that Must Be Addressed Following the Primary | 1/22/24
Everyone is focused on the need to browbeat DeSantis supporters into voting for Trump. But that is actually the least important issue at this point. It is now incumbent upon Trump’s supporters to confront a number of important questions about Trump’s ability to run and win a campaign, as well as the fact that he continues to endorse RINOs and is promising to elevate bad guys to Cabinet positions. I explain the electoral math problems and conservatives' culpability for ignoring these important questions during the primary. Now is the time to get this out in the open. More importantly, the party has gotten worse since 2016. Why is there no frantic push to focus on down-ballot primaries and legislative sessions? Finally, I offer my views on DeSantis himself, his character, future, and why he is the Josiah of the time. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Even a Small Movement Can Accomplish Great Things | Guest: Rep. Bob Good | 1/19/24
We don’t need a majority. A small, irate minority can take down a tyrannical majority in one election or legislative cycle. But that requires that minority – however small – to remain untarnished by controlled opposition forces. We need to ensure that the bad guys don’t fool our base and wear our jerseys while privately screwing us. Today, I discuss how the South Carolina Freedom Caucus is showing that a small minority can expose the GOP establishment as long as there are clear battle lines. Later on, we’re joined by Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.), the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, to discuss the latest budget betrayal. He explains how the current Republicans will never fight for us because they have shown Democrats they will always fear not reaching a deal more than the other side. He is being challenged by the establishment because he was willing to fight Kevin McCarthy. Will we stand by our own? BobGoodForCongress.com. Learn more about your ad choices.
