Protests are underway as the key officer in George Floyd's death now faces an upgraded second-degree murder charge; Three other officers charged. Large protests in Washington D.C. as the city's mandatory curfew is pushed back, a day after less than two dozen were arrested during protests. Protesters march across Washington D.C. hours after new charges in George Floyd's death as the curfew gets pushed back to 11 p.m.
Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis slams Trump in bombshell remarks saying, "He tries to divide us," "We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership." Mattis also says that Trump is a treat to the constitution. On the same day, current Secretary of Defense Esper breaks with Trump on using military to quell recent protests. Esper also contradicts Trump on Insurrection Act, distances himself from photo-op and didn't give the White House a heads-up on his remarks. Protests are underway as curfews go into effect across the United States
After protests for George Floyd, New York City's curfew has been moved up tonight as law enforcement is "enhanced." Governor Cuomo said that New York City's response to looting is "inexcusable." The governor also criticizes the the New York City mayor over protest response saying, "The NYPD and the mayor did not do their jobs last night." Protests grow as New York near 8 p.m. curfew. Protests also grow in Los Angeles ahead of its mandatory curfew. Curfews issued for Los Angeles and other major cities across the United States to quell violent protests and looting.

Tear gas has been fired at protesters near White House as Trump made a statement. Active duty United States military forces are nearby to bolster security for Trump. Trump says that if states refuse to take necessary action to quell violence, "I will deploy the United States military" to end "riots and lawlessness," after telling United States governors to "dominate" protesters. Trump would invoke 1807 law to mobilize the military in the United States. Illinois Governor Pritzker clashes with Trump on call, says he's "extremely concerned" by his "inflammatory" rhetoric. The governor says that Trump should be calling for calm. New York Governor Cuomo speaks on Trump mobilizing the United States military to end riots. Peaceful protesters near the White House were gassed, shot with rubber bullets, so Trump can have church photo-op.
A renowned medical examiner hired by the Floyd family says George Floyd's death was a homicide resulting from "restraint" and "neck compression." The medical examiner finds that George Floyd died of "asphyxia." George Floyd's family pleads for calm from protesters and rioters. Officer Seen With Knee On George Floyd's Neck Charged With Murder
The officer in Floyd death charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Protests grow across the United States, after one officer was charged in Floyd's death. A Minneapolis county prosecutor who already charged one officer said, "I anticipate charges" for other officers. The criminal complaint said officers continued to restrain Floyd after he stopped moving, breathing and one found George Floyd had no pulse. The complaint also says that Floyd was non-responsive for almost three minutes before the officer's knee was removed from Floyd's neck.
Protesters throw water bottles at police and police use pepper spray as New York City protests turn violent.
The preliminary autopsy report for George Floyd said that there are no physical findings supporting diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.
Protesters are marching to the White House over George Floyd's death. The White House is now on lockdown due to the protests. The United States coronavirus death toll is nearly triple the number of the U.K. coronavirus death toll, which has the second highest number of coronavirus deaths in the world. The United States coronavirus death toll is also more than the coronavirus death tolls of Italy, France and Spain combined. United States now accounts for one in four coronavirus deaths worldwide and is nearly enough to fill every seat in the largest college football stadium. The United States coronavirus death toll is 80 percent people 65 years old and older and is linked to long-term care facilities.
Trump has been silent so far about the United States topping 100,000 coronavirus deaths. Joe Biden calls milestone "heart-rending" in video response. Dr. Fauci is wearing a mask as symbol of what "you should be doing" while President Trump has said "I don't see it for myself."
Dr. Fauci also says new cases will surge with reopenings won't appear for weeks, as new cases are trending up in 14 states and are down in 19. One doctor in Alabama says that infections are returning "with a vengeance."

Merck enters the race for a coronavirus vaccine and treatment, as ten companies worldwide are starting human trails for a coronavirus vaccine. The leader of the Oxford trial says the vaccine has a 50 percent chance of working. Previously, the Oxford leader had predicted an 80 percent chance of success by September. The vaccine has a 50 percent chance of working because the spread of virus is slowing in Britain.

A former FDA official say’s that the FDA authorizing emergency use of Hydroxychloroquine was an “impossible political situation”. Vice President Biden says he shouldn’t have been “so cavalier” after saying black voters “ain’t black” if they consider Trump on a radio show early Friday morning.
