There’s been a bit more buzz around AI this week following an open letter signed by a group of AI experts and other high-profile figures and released by the Center for AI Safety. The open letter had only one line - “Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.”Now contemplating and discussing the end of the world is a bit beyond our scope here on BizBytes, but one thing is clear, AI is powerful and we shouldn’t take its power to disrupt for granted.One key example is the way AI could potentially impact the next generation of workers. The World Economic Forum's "The Future of Jobs Report 2020" predicted that 85 million jobs globally will be replaced by AI by 2025, but the same report also indicates that AI can potentially generate 97 million new roles.
