Rights To Ricky Sanchez: The Sixers Podcast

One day, we see a crack in our trust in the process. The next day, we wake up to maybe one of the most one-sided trades we've ever seen. WELCOME TO PHILLY, SAUCE! We break down the trade with the Kings, our more tempered draft reactions, NBA free agency, the Jimmy Butler meeting that never happened, a summer league primer, and a new rallying cry.

That didn't go as planned. Do we still trust the process? We talk through it on the night of the draft.

Forget about setbacks, buyouts and all that nonsense. The NBA Draft is in 48 hours. Spike and Mike give their final big boards, and do it without a guest for once. Rest in peace to the great Harvey Pollack. He will be missed by many.

The draft is just days away, and we haven't had any setbacks. Things are just not healing as quickly as we'd like them to. We recap the week in Sixers, including the new uniforms, Spike's fight on WIP, and the lack of updates on Joel Embiid. Then the guys have real life NBA Scout Elan Vinokurov, founder of EV Hoops on to explain what the life of a scout is like, his relationship with NBA teams, and his thoughts on any potential Sixers. They also give their last thoughts on the NBA Finals, including Andre Iguodala's Finals MVP Award.

This is what we had written for the podcast that was supposed to be recorded on Friday. Well, maybe they want Dario now. There are some rumors that the Sixers would like Dario Saric to come over to the NBA this season. Are these rumors for real? Who knows, but let's talk about them anyway! We also discuss the team's decision to not say "Wells Fargo," Andre Iguodala, NBA Finals MVP, Spike's run-in with Brett Brown, and our ever-changing-for-n0-reason Big Boards for the NBA Draft! My how plans have changed. Thanks Woj! Joel Embiid had a setback. SETBACK!! What does it all mean? How should you feel? Is it all over? Do you trust the process? Why did Spike have a mental breakdown on Saturday night? Is it related to the fact that he can't turn his air conditioning off? It's all in today's Ricky.

Who'd have guessed, two years ago when we started The Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast would be doing a live version, that barely anyone could hear, in a packed Buffalo Wild Wings, in front of hundreds... (deep breath through nose) AND HUNDREDS of the pod's supporters? No one would have guessed that. You'd be a moron to have guessed that. But it happened, and it sounds, well, it sounds like it sounds. It's a funny listen. You hear people boo Doug Collins and Howard Eskin. You hear people chant "asshole" at Andrew Sharp. And you hear Mike and I sort of try to do a show, and then eventually give up.

The Sixers did not get #OneSixEleven, but the Lottery Party was a huge success. Spike and Mike wrap up the party and what it means for the Sixers to get #3. 

Finally, a talk about the draft on the Ricky that involves two people! Spike has finally watched a bunch of YouTube, and has some barely informed opinions.
