Mentor Session #3 - Lessons in confidence from a 5 year old

In this session, my son Corey wanted to do his first ever facebook live to my community of nearly 300 people, to talk about coaching, confidence and to help them be happy. :) Its amazing what we can learn from curiosity, kindness and innocence. I am super proud of him. He may not want to be like his Dad in future and be a coach and that's ok. I know that his values of service and kindness will mean that he goes on to make a difference wherever he goes.

Interview Sessions Ep 8 with Gemma Hunt

Ep 8 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with the inspiring Gemma Hunt 🙌🏻 I approached Gemma because I think she is a perfect example of what it means to love what you do and I think she is a wonderful role model for young children in her role at the CBBC ☠️ I really want to be able to show to young people that successful people are no different to them and that with the right attitude and mindset, anything is possible. 🏆 It was great to hear Gemma talk about how she found out what she loved to do from an early age which was to entertain children. However, had she listened to her career adviser and played it safe, she may have never ended up fulfilling her hearts desire, her potential and inspiring thousands of young people. 👏🏻 At the end of the interview I asked what her 3 big lessons in life were so far. Her response was beautiful. Here’s the short version: 1️⃣ follow your hearts desire 2️⃣ keep your cheerleaders close 3️⃣ always believe in yourself

Interview Sessions Ep 7 with Reece Anderson

Ep 7 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Reece Anderson During the interview it was inspiring to hear how Reece went from being a fit and able sportsman to being crippled by panic attacks and mental health issues which lead him to attempting to take his own life 😢 It is amazing to see how he came back from being at his lowest point to now being someone that helps others overcome their own mental health issues. 💪🏻 Some of the key lessons Reece has learned along the way are 💡Take Ownership - you can have all the support in the world but until you admit “I’m not ok” only then can you start to take action 💡Don’t try and please everyone 💡Prioritise self care - not always the popular choice but looking after himself meant he was a better person to be around We also talked about a toolkit he has developed to help himself with any struggles 🧠Checking in with his body, recognising triggers 🧠Meditation 🧠Tapping 🧠Pyrolle 🧠Eating well 🧠Moving the body

Interview Sessions Ep 6 with David A. Volpe

I Interviewed @davidavolpe in Ep 6 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions. 📽 David’s book @justathoughtbook is one of my favourite self development books and it was amazing to hear what inspired David to write it. My favourite quote from the book was Mike Tyson’s “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face”. 🥊 David’s favourite quote was “to live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist and that is all”. David’s enthusiasm and passion shone through as he spoke and I highly recommend heading to my Facebook page to check out the full interview. I am sure it will inspire you to check out his book. Many listeners already have! 📘

Interview Sessions Ep 5 with Craig McHugh

Ep 5 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Craig McHugh, coach, trainer, speaker and owner of @livingyourlearning 🎥💙 After having Craig speak recently on #WHYWednesday within my community, I asked him a bit about his purpose which in short is about helping people, teams and organisations be BETTER at what they do 📈 When I first spoke with Craig I was instantly drawn to him, how he talked and what he stood for. It was only when hearing his WHY that the penny dropped. We are both on this planet to do the same thing, just going about it our individual ways! 🙌🏻 Craig talked a bit about what being Always Better than Yesterday means to him, how he is ABTY and how his consultancy LivingYourLearning helps teams and organisations be ABTY. 🤩 It was a fascinating insight into the great man and his mindset. Many live viewers fell in love with him (and his wonderful beard). 🧠🔥

Interview Sessions Ep 3 with Michael Rodd

It was my honour to interview South African Peak Performance Life Coach @michaelrodd. 💙 Michael gave us a great insight into his Peak Performance Framework 🏋🏼‍♀️ Physiology ❤️ Emotion 🎯 Action 🧠 Knowledge What makes this framework great is Michael’s coaching philosophy. He, like I, prefer to focus his approach from the inside out. Exploring WHO we are and WHY, not just what we do. 🏆 Michael believes great coaches have a bigger purpose that drives them to want to help other people. For him, it was his childhood experiences. His passion for helping people is contagious and I felt privileged to be able to ask him about his experiences ranging from; 🏋🏼‍♀️ being a top 10 body builder 👑 working with royal family in Monaco 🗣 attending Tony Robbin’s UPW 🧠 his personal development habits 📚 his top recommended book In the words of Tony Robbins - “knowledge is potential power” and I hope that this helps others learn something new and feel inspired put that into action. 🙌🏻
