Don't Forget Those Yellow Flags
Yellow flags are often forgotten about...
Falling in the shadow of red flags.
This in someway is to be expected...
As some red flags are a medical emergency and therefore need to be picked right away.
But yellow flags are much more common...
Yet are never given the time and attention needed in the subjective assessment.
Given the prevalence of yellow flags this just does not make sense!
In this week's podcast episode you will discover two key questions to ask each and every patient you see.
The answers to these two simple questions will help you identify any patient misconceptions about their injury...
And clearly identify your patients level of motivation, enthusiasm and likelihood of a successful outcome to treatment.
Enjoy the show!

What To Do When The Subjective Assessment Does Not Make Sense
You were told at Uni that come the end of your subjective assessment you should know what is going on with your patient and have a firm hypothesis...
Then you just use your objective assessment to confirm or deny this hypothesis.
Sounds easy right?
But in reality it rarely is as easy as that.
The subjective assessment is the first thing you do for a very good reason.
It is the most important thing you do, as everything you do after that, including your objective assessment, treatments and rehab is all dependant upon your subjective assessment.
So do a poor job with the subjective and it makes everything you do after that so much more difficult.
Listen to this week's podcast to here my biggest tips to smash your subjective assessment to help you find the right patient diagnosis and know exactly what you need to focus your attention on with your objective assessment, treatment and rehab.
PS. In the podcast I mentioned my 'Rehab & Return To Performance' 1-day course.

Making Sense of the Standing Toe Touch
I bet you use the standing toe touch test (bend forward and touch your toes) all the time...
But do you know what you are looking for?
Spinal flexion, right, that's obvious right?
Well not really.
The toe touch test is far more than just a range of movement test, much, much more!
Listen to this week's podcast episode to find out why the standing toe touch test is not just a lower back assessment and why you should use this test with every patient you see...
Even patients with neck, shoulder and upper limb problems!
Enjoy the show!
