The Marketing Freelancer: Unicorns Unite

I built my business on being a unicorn, a virtual assistant who can perform a variety of tasks for online business owners aka “can do'' attitude. When someone asked me to do a new - to me - task, I always said yes because I knew I could enhance my skillset and because I love to do new things. I teach my students the same philosophy. Get your foot in the door with one task and offer to help in others.  There does come a time when my students or any newer virtual assistants start to gravitate towards certain areas of interest more than others and that’s when they think about specializing in niches. They’ve tried a variety of things and now know where their passion and strengths lie.  Although it’s smart to focus on doing work you enjoy, it also makes sense to find a niche that is in demand. I’ve found there are 10 areas or niches that are consistently in demand and command higher prices.  If you’re ready to niche down, then check out my list. Starting out as a new freelancer, service provider, or marketing assistant can be really hard sometimes. I want you to learn from me and my mistakes in hopes you’ll avoid those same ones.  The 3 mistakes I’m sharing today with you will blow your mind! If only I knew back then, where I could be today.
