017 - How should you train to be a better baseball player? Brent Porciau

Brent Porciau is nothing if not passionate. Brent took a catastrophic arm injury and a disastrous prognosis and turned it into an evolution of the training methodology that surrounds throwing a baseball. He used his own recovery, influenced by strength coach Kurt Hester, a lot of desperation, and a sprinkle of foolishness to stumble onto the most critically efficient and measurable system to train better throwing mechanics and create a healthier athlete. Brent is disrupting baseball so much that he has received death threats from the purists and is on the most wanted (to shut up) list of some of baseball’s biggest outfits. This was a fun interview to conduct because Brent has so much passion. Have a listen and form an opinion of your own.   Brent Porciau can be found at: @topvelocity topvelocity.net   We can be found at: @activeliferx www.PerformanceCareRx.com www.youtube.com/theactivelife

015 - Develop the mindset of a great coach, Pat Barber

The first time I met Pat he challenged me on a post I made on Instagram in which I criticized CrossFit’s use of high intensity training. It was love at first conflict. Pat Barber has been around since the early days of CrossFit. I’m talking about the days before you knew CrossFit existed and before CrossFit even really knew what they were on to. Pat went from getting coached by CrossFit founder Greg Glassman to filming and editing hundreds of CrossFit Seminars, to running CrossFit’s world famous Level One and Level Two Seminars. In this episode Pat discusses extreme ownership, staff communication, and the creation of his company warmupandworkout.com .   Pat Barber can be found at: @patbarbercf @warmupanworkout warmupandworkout.com     We can be found at: @activeliferx www.PerformanceCareRx.com www.youtube.com/theactivelife

013 - How to win at everything, Michael Cazayoux

Michael Cazayoux recovered from a lethal addiction to Heroin to create a transcendent fitness service, Brute Strength. It’s impressive enough that Michael won the CrossFit Games twice as a member of the Ute CrossFit Team, but what’s more impressive is how many lives he has changed for the better since. Listen as Michael, or “Caz” as I like to call him discusses mindset as it pertains to vulnerability and growth to be successful and valuable in all situations. 011 - Build the body of your dreams in a city park. Ed Checo

Eduard Checo grew up in some tough streets. He spent his adolescence getting arrested wondering if that’s what the rest of his life had in store for him. Everything changed for Ed when he saw a man in a park doing some impressive stuff (A typewriter) on a pull-up bar. Ed decided he wanted to be able to do that, and he documented the journey. Barstarzz was born. Now Ed has over 160 million views on youtube, over 500,000 followers on Instagram, and is the father of a fitness, street culture that is sweeping the country. In this episode we talk about changing who you are surrounded by to become who you want to become, getting your first pull-up, and making a living documenting your journey. It was incredibly insightful for me and I’m sure it will be valuable to you. If you’re listening and you’re looking for work in video editing there is even an opportunity for you in there, but you gotta pay attention. 009 - Are you living like your consciousness? Tyler McBride

Tyler McBride is not just another CrossFit gym owner. Tyler, or Tatatatyler as he calls himself on social media to make fun of himself and his stutter gifted to him by his Turrets Syndrome is as inspiring as they come. He lives a life that is a direct reflection of his consciousness and in doing so has a profoundly positive impact on the lives of people who know him. In this interview he talks about coaching CrossFit, being a great husband, and a lot of things between the two. Enjoy it, and get ready for a “Fuhnomenal” listen.
