We use words like covenant and contract interchangeably, when in reality they have drastically different meanings. A contract is transactional, a covenant is relational. We will talk about the idea of Biblical covenant and it’s effect on our relationship with God by outlining the basis, the result, the beauty, and the fulfillment. God’s covenant is not about a set of do’s and don’ts, but a loving relationship of a Father with his children and His attempt to guide and love and sacrifice so that we can find freedom in our relationship with Him. The reason we often get frustrated with God's plan is because it is a disruption to what is familiar. It is often not what we had in mind. God promises deliverance but he doesn't explain the process.
