We have no King but Caesar!" Jesus, the true King, was rejected by those He came to save. This was true of them. This is true of us. Teacher: Derek Mathews. Tim Keller said it best, "The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope." Ephesians 2:1-10 shows us what we are by nature and what we could be by grace. God is recreating what has been broken by sin by interjecting himself into the human story. By grace through faith, God makes us alive to live our lives, not for ourselves, but in service to others.

Teacher: Kyle Kaigler. As we continue our series through Ephesians, Paul helps us to pray in the riches we have in Christ. Paul shows us the power of prayer and a picture of Jesus as he prays for the Ephesians. Let us likewise grow our quantity and quality of prayer for ourselves and our body at CityBridge.

Teacher: Derek Mathews. Everything your heart truly longs for is found in Christ. As we open our series through the book of Ephesians, we see just how much we are blessed in Christ. You have been selected by the Father, saved through the Son, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. When you embrace your wealth in Christ it impacts how you walk in Christ as you discover all you need is in Christ alone.

At the end of our High Call, Safe Place series, let's pause and reflect on all that God has done as we anticipate all that He will do moving forward. Use this message to dwell on the last few weeks and prayerfully consider what the Lord would have for you as your next faithful step with Him.

Salvation is an incredible gift. For those who have trusted Christ, we have been saved from the penalty of sin, are being saved from the power of sin, and one day will be saved from the presence of sin. The enemy continues to downgrade the blessings and benefits of salvation. As we close out our series, "High Call, Safe Place" let us consider the incredible gift of salvation.

Humanity is beautifully made but deeply broken. From the world around us to the reality within us, there is something that just isn't right. Only the Creator can recreate what's been broken. Remaining what He was, God became what He was not: Human. Jesus became the true human that we were meant to be. When we believe and embrace this reality, we are rescued and restored back to who we were created for and what we were created to be.

What do you think about when you think about God? How you view God affects how you view yourself and how you live in the world around you. God is continually revealing Himself to us by showing us who He is and what He is like. As we get to know Him, He touches and transforms every aspect of our lives. This is the God who is.
