Ep. 721 - (Harmony in Relationships) - Transforming The Three Poisons: Craving, Anger, and Ignorance

(Harmony in Relationships) - Transforming The Three Poisons: Craving, Anger, and Ignorance Participate in this course in-person or online. Details available at this link. https://www.buddhadailywisdom.com/courses-retreats-in-chiang-mai-thai --------- Transforming The Three Poisons: Craving, Anger, and Ignorance The Buddha’s Teachings to eliminate, craving, anger, and ignorance (unknowing of true reality) are known, for good reason, as The Three Poisons, The Three Unwholesome Roots, and The Three Fires. Also known as, greed, hatred, and delusion. These are The Three Poisons that exist and are present in the mind as part of rebirth into the human realm. It is our goal, through these Teachings, to eliminate these Three Poisons through practice of non-craving or generosity, non-anger or loving-kindness, and non-ignorance or wisdom. To attain Enlightenment, one would need to completely eliminate The Three Poisons. David will help you understand The Three Poisons, how they cause you problems in life, and how to eliminate them from the mind. ---------- HARMONY IN RELATIONSHIPS - MEDITATION PRACTITIONER COURSE (30-HOURS) Teachings & Discussions (Dhamma Talks) - The Eight Fold Path: The Path for All Humans to Enlightenment - Transforming The Three Poisons: Craving, Anger, and Ignorance - Identifying Cravings: Cultivating Non-Craving and Analysis of The Mind - Cultivating Healthy Mental States: Loving-kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, and Equanimity - True Love: Love Without Attachment - Practicing in a World of the Unknowing: Relationships with Non-Practitioners - Sharing The Path to Enlightenment: How to Guide Children Along The Path? - Practicing Non-Attachment: How to Eliminate Attachment to Those Who Are Closest to Us? - Developing & Maintaining Relationships: Choosing Wholesome Friends and a Life Partner - The Path to Enlightenment: Practicing “The Path” in the Workplace - The Art of The Friendly "No": How to Say "No" Without Saying "No" Meditation Practice - Meditation Instruction: Breathing Mindfulness Meditation and Loving-kindness Meditation - Meditation Positions: Seated, Lying, Standing, and Walking Position - Buddhist Chanting in Pali (There are no prerequisites for this course.) Ep. 717 - (Group Learning Program) Chapter 19 - The Difficult Human Existence: Sickness, Aging, and Death

(Group Learning Program) Chapter 19 - The Difficult Human Existence: Sickness, Aging, and Death Three aspects of life that are the most difficult for us to deal with in our human existence are sickness, aging, and death. The young Prince Siddhartha Gotama, who eventually became Gotama Buddha, was sheltered during his first 29 years of existence as his father, the King, was keeping him in the palace attempting to lure him into the ways of a monarch through keeping him attached to the luxurious life of being a Prince and eventually a King. At the age of 29, Siddhartha Gotama exits the palace for the first time without his father’s knowledge to observe life outside the palace. He had his attendant with him who helped explain Siddhartha Gotama’s four (4) observations of sickness, aging, death, and an Ascetic or monk - a spiritual seeker. These observations eventually led Siddhartha Gotama to the understanding that because of the impermanent nature of things and the mind’s craving for permanence, we cause our own discontent mind. In this Podcast, David will share the life story of Gotama Buddha, help you understand The Four (4) Observations, and discuss sickness, aging, and death as it relates to the human condition. ——-Daily Wisdom - Walking The Path with The BuddhaDedicated to the education of Gotama Buddha's Teachings to attain Enlightenment. https://www.BuddhaDailyWisdom.com (See our website for online learning, courses, and retreats.) Ep. 715 - (Group Learning Program) - Guided Breathing Mindfulness Meditation and Student Questions

(Group Learning Program) - Guided Breathing Mindfulness Meditation and Student Questions Breathing Mindfulness Meditation was the primary form of meditation employed by The Buddha to attain Enlightenment. There are many aspects of The Path to Enlightenment that one would need to learn and practice with guidance from a Teacher, however, Breathing Mindfulness Meditation should be among the top priorities for any Practitioner aspiring to attain Enlightenment. The goal of Breathing Mindfulness Meditation is to develop “Right Mindfulness”, “Right Concentration”, and to eliminate the unwholesome root of craving/desire/attachment. All discontentedness is caused by craving/desire/attachment so it is important to train the mind to not have craving/desire/attachment as part of "Developing Your Life Practice”. In this Podcast, David will guide you in a Breathing Mindfulness Meditation session and will accept questions from Students to help you develop your meditation practice and progress forward on The Path to Enlightenment. ——-Daily Wisdom - Walking The Path with The BuddhaDedicated to the education of Gotama Buddha's Teachings to attain Enlightenment. https://www.BuddhaDailyWisdom.com (See our website for online learning, courses, and retreats.) Ep. 714 - (Group Learning Program) - Chapter 18 - God's Creative Action: You Have Free Will

(Group Learning Program) - Chapter 18 - God's Creative Action: You Have Free Will Gotama Buddha’s goal was not to prove or disprove God’s existence, because Gotama Buddha only taught “truth” that could be independently realized or understood by you through your own practice and that which leads to Enlightenment. This is how you gain “wisdom”. But, during the lifetime of Gotama Buddha, there was belief in many different Gods so he did mention God and teach about God during his lifetime. Gotama Buddha never denied the existence of God. In this Podcast, David will help you understand how to learn and practice Gotama Buddha's Teachings to liberate the mind to attain Enlightenment with or without a relationship of God. ——-Daily Wisdom - Walking The Path with The BuddhaDedicated to the education of Gotama Buddha's Teachings to attain Enlightenment. https://www.BuddhaDailyWisdom.com (See our website for online learning, courses, and retreats.)
