Power of Perspective with Mia Manganello Kilburg - Speed Skater, Pro Cyclist, Olympic Medalist

Mia Manganello Kilburg is an Olympic bronze medalist in long-track speed skating for Team USA.At 13, she moved Salt Lake City, UT to begin on-ice training for her dream of one-day becoming an Olympic medalist. While training there for 7 years, she earned a spot on several Junior and Senior World Cup and World Championship teams, as well as, competed in two Olympic trials. After the 2010 Olympic trials, she decided to retire. She took one year completely off from any competitive activities before picking up road cycling. Over the next five years, she raced on the National circuit, finding herself the team sprinter and winning a few green (sprinter) jerseys at stage races. In 2016, she stepped back on the ice and re-found her original love for the sport of speed skating. That's when she knew she "had more to give". Mia then became the national record holder in the 3000m; subsequently making the 2018 Winter Olympic team and ultimately, winning a bronze medal in the team pursuit event. She also made the 2020 Olympic team, where she finished 4th in the Mass Start event.
