What You Need to Know About the Coming Metaverse

Send us Fan MailGUEST: PATRICK MILLER, pastor and co-author, How to Prepare for the MetaverseWhen Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, one of the most valuable and powerful companies in the world, makes a recent announcement that they are changing their name to “Meta”, one is led to ask “Now, what is that all about?”What it’s about is a coming technology that will change life as we know it—the metaverse. What exactly is the metaverse? It’s hard to explain because it contrasts so much with reality but basically the metaverse is an online world that you enter through virtual reality glasses or headsets and where the experiences are only limited by your imagination. For example, you can customize your own home to have a view of the Pacific Ocean. Or, you choose whatever identity you’d like—male, female, human, animal, space alien. Want to go out to meet with friends in London in real time (without flying on a plane to get there)? You may sit at the table as an avatar (a cartoon-like version of yourself) while your friend is there as a life-like hologram. This may all sound crazy, foolish, and unnecessary, but there’s something far deeper at work here—man’s futile attempt to cast off God and the reality He established and identify as one chooses (rather than how God has designed) and live a virtual world man controls (rather than God).Patrick Miller, podcast host and pastor of digital ministries at The Crossing, a church in Missouri, recently co-authored a column for The Gospel Coalition titled How to Prepare for the Metaverse. He joins us on The Christian Worldview for a look into the not-too-distant future and what Christians need to know about the metaverse.

How Unbiblical Morality Results in Unbiblical Economics

Send us Fan MailGUEST: CAL BEISNER, author, Biblical Foundations for EconomicsMorality is the judgment between what is right and what is wrong and economics is how money, goods, and services are used and exchanged. While morality and economics seem unrelated, they are actually linked. When moral judgments are made about any given issue, economic decisions follow to support those moral judgments. For example, abortion is viewed by our government as morally good and so therefore economic policy is made to fund the killing of the pre-born and post-born.It’s no coincidence that as American’s judgment of what is right and wrong has moved away from biblical morality, our economic policies have gone the same direction. Government rather than the individual is now viewed as the best caretaker for the poor, needy, and unemployed. Government is seen as the solution to inequality, education, health care, and the environment.Socialism—strong governmental ordering of society—is ascending while capitalism—individual liberties applied to markets—is slandered as “selfish”, “greedy”, and “immoral”.Cal Beisner, author of Biblical Foundations for Economics, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss how economic principles and policies need to be based on the Bible to achieve the greatest human flourishing. We will also hear the remaining portion of the interview with Mike Gendron about why the Pope and President Biden share some a “strong rapport” (hint: that has to do with their economic views as well).

Why the Reformation Must Be Remembered

Send us Fan MailGUEST: MIKE GENDRON, founder/evangelist, Proclaiming the GospelWe know the darkness the world celebrates each year on October 31 but it’s disconcerting that the day passes with most Protestant churches, generally, and Evangelical churches, specifically, devoting little or no time commemorating and teaching about something far more momentous which took place on that date in 1517—Martin Luther nailing his “95 Theses” document on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany to protest errant doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. The document ignited the fire that became the Protestant Reformation, an era lasting more than 100 years and impacting, well, everything—clarifying of biblical doctrines, starting a new branch of Christianity, altering the future of nations, all the way to the formation of America. It would be hard to overstate the importance of the Reformation. This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will hear a portion of a message by Dr. Steve Lawson about the Reformation and also speak with Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel ministry about the current Pope, Francis, and his beliefs.

How to Write Your COVID Vaccine Exemption Letter (Part 2)

Send us Fan MailGUEST: MAT STAVER, Founder and Chairman, Liberty CounselIt would be one thing if the impact of COVID-19 was limited to our personal health and health care. But dealing with sickness from contracting the virus—as serious as that can be, even death in rare cases—has been overshadowed by the loss of individual liberties that has taken place during this “pandemic”.At times over the past year and a half, churches, schools, and businesses have been ordered closed or told how they must operate. Masks and distancing have been mandated. Even visitation of loved ones and attendance at funerals, weddings, and other events has been strictly regulated. And now, government and businesses are mandating the COVID injection, affecting almost everyone. The choice is “get the vaccine or lose your job.”How can this be in America, the land of the free with a durable Constitution that enshrines individual liberties of speech, religion, association, movement, and more?Mat Staver, founder and lead attorney at Liberty Counsel, a Christian organization that helps legally preserve the Constitutional and religious rights of Christians and others, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss how COVID has been used by the Left to gain socialistic control of our country and its citizens. He will also give further advice on writing an effective exemption letter for the COVID-19 “vaccine”.Please tune in to this important conversation.

How to Write Your COVID Vaccine Exemption Letter

Send us Fan MailWhether in private or public places of work, the military and elsewhere, deadlines are looming (or already passed) mandating that employees get the COVID injection or be terminated.Yes, America has descended to a new authoritarian low—inject a substance into your body or else lose your ability to support yourself and your family. With the God-rejecting Left being most coercive for all to get vaccinated, even young children who are in no danger of the virus, one would think someone like pastor and author John Piper wouldn’t be encouraging Christians to be vaccinated but rather leaving it up to each person’s conscience to make that decision. So goes the pressure to take a newly developed “vaccine” that millions of Americans have taken but millions of Americans don’t want. Pressure, persuasion, and crass incentives have now turned into vaccine mandates by employers—get the vaccine or get fired. How “kind” and “loving your neighbor” to force your neighbor into injecting something into their body they don’t want and could harm them. The burning question right now for those who don’t want the vaccine is this: How can I apply for and receive an exemption from this unconstitutional (and perhaps fake) mandate? We will offer some direction on this issue this weekend on The Christian Worldview. Please read and watch the recommendation of Liberty Counsel, an organization that advances “religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and the family through strategic litigation.”

Has the (Intentional) Economic Meltdown Begun?

Send us Fan MailGUEST: DAN CELIA, CEO/president, Financial Issues Stewardship MinistriesYou’ve noticed it at the gas pump, grocery store, and elsewhere—prices are rising. But of course they are—the supply of dollars can’t be increased through printing more without the value and buying power of an individual dollar decreasing. The Wall Street Journal reported that inflation rose more the last 12 months than it has in 13 years.More is likely to come, with rampant spending being proposed. And it’s not just inflation. Have you noticed shortages on shelves…and at the car dealership? The government-ordered lockdowns of the economy over COVID and people not working has led to scarcity of goods and delays in transporting them.Meanwhile, the Biden Administration and the Left are doing everything they can to pass a $3.5T “Infrastructure Bill”, which has very little to do with roads and bridges and very much to do with expanding the power of government and dependency on it.It all sounds like a prelude to the inflation and scarcity described in the End Times in Revelation 6, when a global leader and government takes control.

Undiscerning Things Christians Believe and Repeat

Send us Fan MailGUEST: ROBERT KNIGHT, author and columnist, Washington TimesWe are living in an age of disinformation. What’s another word for disinformation? Lies. Very few people and organizations can be trusted anymore to disseminate truth, facts, reality.Do you trust the Biden Administration and government to tell you the truth about a given issue—elections and voting, Afghanistan pullout, immigration? How about the CDC or NIH with regard to COVID? Do you trust the mainstream media or Big Tech to report the truth? Or how about Christian leaders who always seem to be talking about race and social justice instead of salvation and sanctification?Of course the power of the lie has been around since Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. But the momentum of disinformation has now infected every aspect and issue in our country. Those attempting to “fundamentally transform America” use language and concepts that are persuasive to Christians. No doubt you’ve heard someone say the following:“Getting the COVID vaccine is about loving your neighbor.”“Unregulated immigration is a great opportunity for evangelism!”“Democrats are more biblical on issues like justice, race, etc.”Are these statements true or false? Why are they believed and repeated by professing Christians? In this program, we’ll discuss some of the undiscerning things Christians imbibe. Washington Times columnist Robert Knight will also join us to discuss President Biden’s Communist-educated nominee to be the Comptroller of the Currency and other current events.

Will You and Your Children Stand Firm? - rebroadcast from 05/01/2021

Send us Fan MailGUEST: KEN HAM, author, Founder and President, Answers in GenesisLast week in part 1 of an interview with Ken Ham, founder and president of Answers in Genesis, we discussed a large segment of the American populous that has become aggressive in its opposition to God and His Word. This necessitates that Christ-followers stand firm on biblical truth and train our children to do the same.Ken recently wrote a book on this subject titled  Will They Stand: Parenting Kids to Face the Giants. (312 pages, hardcover) which includes much personal content on who and what shaped him to have a high view of God and Scripture. The book is our new featured resource for a donation of any amount to The Christian Worldview. You can order online, by phone, or by mail.In a similar vein, we will also play a portion of a recent sermon by Pastor John MacArthur that describes our nation’s descent into sin and yet the believer’s hope in the midst of it.Finally, we will touch on whether the government or private businesses can force you to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Be sure to hear the answer to this so you can be informed. We hope you join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview!

When Sickness Comes—How to Pray, What to Expect

Send us Fan MailGUEST: COSTI HINN, pastor and author, More Than a HealerIt’s not "if" you will get seriously sick or injured, not "if" you will face a trial that is out of your control, but "when".This is because we live in a world that went from perfection to corruption due to Adam’s sin…and our sin. Man’s rebellion against God resulted in disease, violence, accidents, pain, conflicts, and ultimately death. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a).So how should Christians view and respond to trials when they come our way? Should we pray to be healed of our maladies, expecting God to do so? What happens when God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we have asked?Costi Hinn, our guest this weekend on The Christian Worldview, knows all about the errant theology and empty promises of “faith healers”. He is the nephew of internationally known faith healer fraudster Benny Hinn, with whom Costi formerly “ministered”.God miraculously saved Costi out of that lucrative heresy and now he has written a book, More Than A Healer, to help readers understand that God uses sickness and trials to transform us and bring Him glory.

Is Evangelicalism Reformable to Biblical Fidelity?

Send us Fan MailGUEST: DON GREEN, founding pastor, Truth Community Church (Ohio)“Evangelical” has become a very broad term with hardly any meaning. It once described a follower of Christ who believed in the complete truthfulness of Scripture, essential doctrines about salvation, sin, God, Christ, the call to tell others about the gospel of Christ, and more.Today, seemingly every professing Christian who is not part of the totally compromised liberal mainline denominations self-identifies as an “Evangelical”…except for those who want to avoid at all costs being associated with Donald Trump, for whom Evangelicals mostly voted. But the doctrinal stances of professing Evangelicals today, including Evangelical churches and organizations—on interpreting Scripture or hot button issues like homosexuality, race, and women in preaching roles—span such a wide spectrum that the term has all been but lost. With the Evangelical church and movement becoming a mile wide and an inch deep, is it possible and even advisable to try to recapture the term back to its more faithful roots?Don Green, founding pastor of Truth Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss what was an "Evangelical", what caused the compromise, and whether Evangelicalism is reformable? Don is preaching at the upcoming “Reforming Evangelicalism” conference at Grace Church in Greeley, CO, which you can attend or watch online.
