On this episode, we discuss the Books & Boba Book Club pick for May 2018, The Leavers by Lisa Ko, a story of a Chinese-American boy dealing with his adoption by well-meaning white parents after his mother's deportation. We discuss the parallels between the dual narratives as well as what the title "The Leavers" really means.
