SCOTT AUKERMAN is an Emmy winning creator, producer, host, writer, and creator, known for launching and successfully sustaining the parody talk show "Comedy Bang! Bang!. The show's 5th season premiered on June 3, 2016 on IFC with Weird Al serving as bandleader, with the 2nd part of season 5 coming back to IFC in October 2016. Past guests include Zoe Saldana, Paul F. Tompkins, Jon Hamm, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Patton Oswalt, Seth Rogen, Thomas Lennon, Zach Galifianakis, David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, and Michael Cera. This past year, Aukerman wrote the hilarious 67th Primetime Emmy Awards with Andy Samberg. Aukerman's production company, CBB Productions, is currently developing multiple projects for a variety of networks and NBC Universal’s Seeso has added two shows run by CBB and executive produced by Scott, including the highly-anticipated reality spoof show "Bajillion Dollar Propertie$" and "Take My Wife.” In addition, Aukerman is also the co-creator, co-producer, co-writer and a director of the Funny or Die web series "Between Two Ferns with Zach GalifIanakis. 162: Lance Burton
LANCE BURTON is widely considered by his peers to be the greatest stage magician of the past century. Born in Louisville, KY, his first break came in a debut appearance on the “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” and through the course of Burton’s career he was invited back for a total of ten appearances while Johnny was host and another ten appearances during Jay Leno’s tenure. Additionally, Lance has racked up appearances on Letterman, Leno, The View, Ferguson, The World’s Greatest Magic, Hollywood Squares, and guest starring roles on “Knight Rider’ and “Las Vegas.” In 1996, Lance Burton’s first TV special, “Lance Burton Master Magician; The Legend Begins,” aired on NBC and was quickly followed by a series of 4 TV specials. He also hosted specials for the history channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, The Family Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, The Family Channel, and many more. While successful on TV, Burton’s greatest accomplishments have been made in live performance, working primarily in Las Vegas, performing an astounding fifteen thousand shows in his 30-year career. His longest running show, “Lance Burton Master Magician,” opened at the brand new Monte Carlo Hotel in The Lance Burton Theater. This was the first time any entertainer in the history of Las Vegas has a theater built and named for him… and ran for 14 years. Throughout his career, Burton received numerous awards and accolades from his peers including in 1980 as the fist magician to be awarded the gold medal from the International Brotherhood of Magicians, in 1982 as the first American and youngest magician to win the Grand Prix (World Championship) from The Federation Internationale Societes Des Magiques, and The Academy of Magical Arts (Ama) has honored Lance with awards many times, including; Best Stage Magician of the year (twice). He is currently working on a number of documentary and narrative film projects and is finishing “Billy Topit Master Magician,” which will mark his debut as a film director. GEORGE WALLACE is an award-winning stand-up comic and renowned Vegas headliner, having also established a successful T.V. and film career that has spanned four decades. One of his first jobs in the entertainment field was working as a writer for legendary comedian Redd Foxx and on the big screen, he made the most out of supporting roles in such films as “Things are Tough All Over,” “Punchline” (starring Tom Hanks and Sally Field), “A Rage in Harlem,” with Gregory Hines and Forest Whitaker, and the Coen Brothers film “The Ladykillers” as well as appearances on such T.V. shows as “Seinfeld” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” In 1995, he won the American Comedy Award for Best Male stand-up performer- the same year he appeared as the mayor of Gotham City in “Batman Forever.” Additionally, he was features in his own HBO “One Night Stand.” In 2004, Wallace appeared as the headlining star of his own show at The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas for a 30 day run. Sin city showed its admiration by extending Wallace’s contract indefinitely and nicknaming him “The new Mr. Vegas.” Wallace was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 “Soul Train/ Centric Comedy All-Start Awards;” and won Best Stand-Up Comedian at the prestigious American Comedy Awards after four consecutive nominations. His first book, “Laff It Off!” (Chaite Press), now in its third printing, was published in 2014 and is a tome of life’s wisdom, humor, and insight from a lifetime of his observations.
