The Burpee - PHYSICAL FRIDAY #45
The burpee is not someone's favorite exercise, and its actually something that most people really don't like to do. If you aren't familiar with the burpee exercise it is when you start on your feet and drop down to do a push up, then move back to your feet and jump up in the air and clap your hands above your head. I really like the burpee because it is something that you can do absolutely anywhere with no equipment. I recently heard that there is a correlation between your ability to get down and stand up and how long you'll live. If you're able to sit down and stand up without using your hands then that is a an indicator to your quality of life and length of life. But I think it is really a good indicator of your joint/muscle health and the burpee is helping those parts of your body as well.

Chris Duffin - The Eagle And The Dragon #0104
Todays guest is someone who I've wanted to have on the podcast for some time. I heard him on a podcast a few years ago and he has an incredible story. Growing up homeless and catching rattlesnakes as a kid, going to finding wrestling and turning into an elite power lifter. All the while Chris excelled in his job which turned into a career in the Aerospace world. Chris Duffin is an incredibly intelligent person and has defied a lot of odds to end up where he is today. He recently wrote a book called The Eagle And The Dragon and he dives more into details about how he grew up. We got to talk about his book on this podcast and also we were able to connect because he made a post about which podcast to be on next. A lot of people commented that he should be on this one, so thank you for that! It was amazing to sit down with Chris and get to talk about his life and where he is today.

The Packing List - HOW 2 TUESDAY #80
Two is one and one is none. That is to say that when you are packing it is best to pack two (especially if it is something cheap). Because you can't always know what will happen and having a back up will keep you prepared. For something like contact solution or sunglasses, it can really ruin your trip to go without, so why not just pack extra? For this episode I reflect on conversations with outdoor photographer Jason Stemple. Jason and I were talking on a recent shoot when this topic came up about how he packs. He is constantly on the road and he has photography equipment and fishing equipment he needs to be able to pack up quickly and effectively.

Destiny - Where Your Character Leads You - PHYSICAL FRIDAY #43
There is an example of character becoming destiny - imagine two boats. They are maybe in a race or setting out from the same port, and they look like they are going in the same direction. But they are a couple degrees off, and over time the boats start to get further and further away until they are out of sight. After enough time the two boats will end up in very different places. That is what this is about - the small changes that you make in your thoughts, words and habits will make huge differences in your character and your destiny.
