The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor was elected in October 2015 as a Member of Parliament in the riding of Moncton–Riverview–Dieppe. Ms. Petitpas Taylor serves as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Private Members’ Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, and is a Member of the Subcommittee on Private Members’ Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, and of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs. She also served as the Deputy Government Whip from December 2015 to January 2017. In January 2017, she was named Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance.
Ms. Petitpas Taylor has spent her entire life advocating for a fair and just society for all. She was the former Chair of the New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women and a member of the Coalition for Pay Equity. She has volunteered with several community organizations, both provincially and locally, including the Coalition Against Abuse in Relationships and the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Suicide Prevention Committee in Moncton.
Ms. Petitpas Taylor was the Codiac RCMP Victim Services Coordinator, during which time she provided crisis counselling, domestic violence intervention, and domestic violence risk assessment to victims of crime. She also served on the City of Moncton’s Public Safety Advisory Committee, which was commissioned by Moncton City Council in 1996 to proactively influence the community through crime prevention promotion and to help Council respond to problematic issues as they arise.
Ms. Petitpas Taylor grew up in Dieppe, New Brunswick, and graduated from l’Université de Moncton with a Bachelor’s degree in social work.

Peter Luongo served as Vice President of Treasury & Planning at Philip Morris International, Inc. from 2013 until 2016. In 2016, he was named the Managing Director (CEO) of the Canadian Market.
Before joining Philip Morris, Mr. Luongo was a partner at the investment banking firm of Centerview Partners LLC, where he had served since 2004. He has extensive experience in advising international clients across a range of sectors on mergers and acquisitions as well as other financial, strategic and investor matters. Some of his clients included Heinz, Kraft, PepsiCO, Campbell’s and Anheuser Busch.
Mr. Luongo holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Princeton University. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Perry Bellegarde, re-elected National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations in 2018, holds a wealth of leadership experience. He’s spent the past thirty years putting into practice his strong beliefs on the laws and traditions instilled in him by the many Chiefs and Elders he has known over the years. Passionate and unrelenting in creating real, measurable progress on the priorities that matter most to First Nations, National Chief Bellegarde is a strong advocate for honouring and implementing Inherent and Treaty rights, title and jurisdiction.
Originally from Little Black Bear First Nation in Treaty 4 Territory, he has served as Tribal Council Representative for the Touchwood-File Hills-Qu’Appelle Tribal Council, Chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and Saskatchewan Regional Chief for the Assembly of First Nations, as well as Chief and Councillor for the Little Black Bear First Nation. He has experience and expertise in leadership at all levels of First Nations governance. In 2014, the Chiefs-in-Assembly first elected Perry as National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations. He was re-elected to the position in July 2018.
As Assembly of First Nations National Chief, Perry Bellegarde remains committed to building on the momentum created in his first term. His national platform and agenda, Closing the Gap, remains a top priority and has directly influenced the federal government’s planning and priorities.
National Chief Bellegarde has been recognized numerous times as a First Nations leader. He has been awarded the Confederation Medal, the Saskatchewan Medal, and the Queen’s Jubilee Medal on two separate occasions. This year, the Province of Saskatchewan recognized Perry with the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.
National Chief Bellegarde remains grateful for the strength and vision he has gained from the Elders. He vows to always place great importance on respecting their teachings. Their guidance has made him a man of foresight and a leader for generations.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains has been the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development since November 2015. He is the Member of Parliament for Mississauga–Malton and a member of Privy Council. Since he was first elected in 2004, he has served in various roles, including Parliamentary Secretary to Prime Minister Paul Martin and critic for Public Works and Government Services, Treasury Board, International Trade, Natural Resources, and Small Business and Tourism.
Minister Bains is a former adjunct lecturer at the University of Waterloo. He is also a former visiting professor at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management. His private sector experience includes several years at the Ford Motor Company of Canada.
Minister Bains has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor. He also holds a Certified Management Accountant designation.
He is a long-time resident of Mississauga, where he lives now with his wife and two children.
