Ramadan With The Quran - Day 11
Surah Al-A'la - Part 2
In this talk, Ustadh Nouman explains Ayah 8 of Surah Al-Aâla. Here Allah promises Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) to make things easy for him and give him the power to withstand the difficulties ahead. The beauty of this ayah stems from the context in which it was revealed in the early years of the daâwa. When Muslims were being persecuted harshly by Quraish, the ayah was a premonition of pending relief. The universal message Allah is sending us, is that we will continue to face difficulties in life but that through our imaan, He will give us the ability to deal with them.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 10
Surah Al-A'la - Part 1
Ustadh Nouman delves into the core of what it means to do "tasbeeh", to declare the perfection of Allah's name. He explains how it is completely different from saying that Allah is perfect, stressing that it is inappropriate to make up your own names for Allah. There is a certain decorum we must follow when addressing our creator and revelation will teach us what the parameters are.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 9
In this talk, Ustadh Nouman explains the second half of Surah At-Tariq, where Allah takes an oath by the power of rain falling from the sky. Just as rain benefits the earth, revelation benefits humanity and brings dead hearts back to life. The Quran separates truth from falsehood and good from evil. In contrast with the first part of the surah where Allah describes the weakness of humans whom He created from a drop of liquid, these ayat emphasize the decisive power of revelation.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 8
Surah Al-Buruj
In the final ayat of Surah Al-Buruj, an extremely forgiving and intensely loving Allah tells believers who were persecuted for His sake that their suffering has cleansed them of all their sins. In his interpretation, Ustadh Nouman makes a connection between Allah's grand throne and the Quran, both of which are described as "majeed" (noble). Allah does not promise to destroy those who deny Him, but has instead sent His majestic Quran to guide them back towards him and give them a chance to repent.

The Sincere Struggle For Allah
This Khutbah was recorded in Irving on 03/24/2017.
In this khutbah Nouman Ali Khan focuses on the last ayah of Surah Al-Hajj, where Allah asks us to struggle in a way that is worthy of Him. Even though this seems impossible, Allah makes it easier for us with a reminder that each one of us was carefully chosen to be Muslim because we are capable of things that we are not even aware of.
We learn from the legacy of Ibrahim (AS) that whatever difficulties we face, Allah will make them easy the way He has eased the hardships of Ibrahim, the one prophet whose trials are unparalleled.
As Muslims today, we have become a target, but Allah has chosen us specifically because we are best qualified to withstand these hardships. That is our purpose and the more sincere we are in our struggle for Allah, the more He will ease our burdens.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 7
Surah Al-Inshiqaq
In the first five ayat of Surah Al-Inshiqaq Allah paints one of the most powerful pictures of nature in the entire Quran. Ustadh Nouman explains in depth the scene on the Day of Judgment when the sky tears open and the earth can no longer bear the burden of everything inside it. The idea that nature is this wild beast that Allah has held back is a recurring theme in the Quran and here, Allah describes how nature will react once He it hears Allah's permission.

Ramadan The Month Of Hope
Jumuah Khutbah
What is it that we celebrate in Ramadan? In this inspiring khutbah on the eve of the Holy Month, Ustadh Nouman takes us back to the story of Adam (AS) who was so dignified by Allah that He spoke to him directly. But even though Allah dismissed Adam from janna, He promised to give him a way back up through repeated guidance. Allah promised those who follow this guidance that they will know no fear or sadness in this life. The last time this promise was fulfilled was when Allah sent his final message, the Quran. In Ramadan Allah revealed his extended rope from the sky to the earth to teach us that there is hope, no matter how lost we feel or how far we have fallen. Ramadan is the opportunity Allah gave us to celebrate our connection with Him.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 6
Surah Al-Mutaffifin
In this talk Ustadh Nouman explains how the state of believers in janna is contrasted with the fate of those who spread injustice and deny Allah's message. When they die, their good souls will join the most exalted angels, who will show them their good deeds, guaranteeing that they will enjoy Allah's endless gifts in janna after resurrection. Allah describes how on that day, they will look down and laugh at those who mocked them in this life, satisfied to know that justice has been served.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 5
Surah Al-Infitar
When we stand before Allah on the Day of Reckoning, we will know what we had âsent aheadâ: the good deeds we did in this life that will be waiting to vouch for us when we most need them. Every decision we take, explains Ustadh Nouman, is recorded with Allah, waiting for us to read on our own.

Ramadan With The Quran - Day 4
Surah At-Takwir
On Judgment Day we are not only accountable for what we know we did in this life, but also for the consequences of each and every action, whether good or bad. Ustadh Nouman says that on that day it is the weight of those ramifications that will either send us to janna or to jahannam.
