Keith Burns is an experienced Lecturer and Strength and Conditioning Coach with a demonstrated history of working in the health and human performance industry. Passionate and skilled in translating complex concepts of human movement into tangible learning experiences, allows him to lead, teach, and develop the next generation of health and human performance professionals.
In addition to his faculty position, he continues to coach athletes at the amateur, collegiate, professional, and international level having recently worked with the Puerto Rico Lacrosse Senior Women’s National Team as they prepared for the World Lacrosse Championships in Towson, Maryland in July of 2022 and the Women’s U-19 Team in 2019.
Keith has co-authored two books, is a member of the NJ State Advisory Board for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is an invited peer-reviewer for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research (NSCA). Additionally, he is a Peer Reviewer for the Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE).
He received his Master of Science (MS) in Human Movement from Arizona School of Health Sciences, A.T. Still University and completed a Graduate Certificate in Tactical Performance & Resiliency from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

Doctor’s Orders: The Role of Exercise in Medicine with Behnad Honarbakhsh
Behnad Honarbakhsh is the founder of FIT TO TRAIN Human Performance Systems Inc. in Vancouver British Columbia. He is a practicing clinician having worked at several sports therapy clinics. Behnad was the former Director of Physical Therapy for the Vancouver Canucks NHL Hockey Club, and continues to consult with the team. He was a program coordinator and continues to consult at the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) School of Kinesiology as well as UBC’s Varsity Athletics. Behnad has consulted with various university and professional sports teams at national and professional levels, including teams and athletes in the NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL, CFL and MLS.
He is a senior instructor for Functional Movement Systems and on the advisory board for Functional Movement Systems and RacquetfitTM. Behnad graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (BHK) in Exercise Science, a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT), and a degree in Osteopathy Manual Practice (DOMP) from the Canadian School of Osteopathy. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, has completed a graduate certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy at Curtin University (Perth, Australia), certified through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI), and trained in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) through the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain.

Podcast 160 – Sports Injuries: What Can We Do? with Scott Epsley
Scott Epsley is an Australian trained Sports Physical Therapist who has over 25 years of elite sports medicine experience. He has worked with athletes at a national, international, collegiate and professional level in both Australia and the USA, across a wide range of sports. Currently he is the Director of Player Health and Performance for NY/NJ Gotham FC in the NWSL. Scott continues to consultant in the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation space, having consulted for athletes and teams in the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, and professional and international football (soccer) to name a few.
Previously Scott was the Medical Director for the Philadelphia 76ers, moving into that role after having served as Director of Physiotherapy and Clinical Diagnostics. Prior to that he served as Physical Therapist for Georgetown University’s Division 1 NCAA program. He is certified in musculoskeletal sonography, having used ultrasound in clinical practice for almost 20 years. Scott has also presented on many topics both across the US and internationally, including medial tibial stress syndrome and bone stress injuries, tendinopathy, hip and groin pain, shoulder rehabilitation, and diagnostic and rehabilitative ultrasound. He has over 10 peer reviewed publications in the areas of bone, tendinopathy, diagnostic imaging, injury mechanism, and injury epidemiology.
