Lynn CohickLynn H. Cohick (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) is Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Director of Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University. She is a scholar and speaker who has authored, co-authored, edited, or co-edited over fifty works. She enjoys speaking and teaching on New Testament topics and women in the church and exploring issues on the historical relationship between Jews and Christians. Spiritual Renewal Week:Andrea Scott(Staley Guest) Dr. Andrea Scott is a Christian educator, leader, and speaker whose work explores the formation of conscience at the intersection of faith, culture, and everyday life. Raised in Kingston, Jamaica, she grew up with a deep awareness of how education shapes not only individuals, but the communities and institutions they go on to serve. For more than three decades, Dr. Scott has worked in Christian higher education, business, and global leadership, helping students and institutions discern how vocation, integrity, and faithfulness take shape in complex cultural systems. A former Fulbright Scholar, she has served in senior leadership roles at Christian universities across the United States, most recently as Provost at George Fox University. Dr. Scott calls communities to renewed attentiveness to God’s forming work—inviting students, faculty, and staff to reflect on calling, courage, and the slow, faithful shaping of lives oriented toward love of God and neighbor. Her visit is funded by an endowment from the Thomas F. Staley Foundation.
