You Don't Have Ideas; Ideas Have You

"People do not have ideas, ideas have people" - Carl Jung This episode is about avoiding the inclination to look at life as a binary, team sport in which one side is correct and the other is not. It's a reminder that truth is found in the grey areas, and when things feel black and white, we have often forgotten to listen or further examine the situation in front of us. Of course we should be people of principle, cherishing our beliefs and maintaining the courage of our convictions, but also understanding that these are simply ideas we hold. They do not define us and are not confined to a life long marriage. Freedom requires that we are willing to think, question ideas and be open to change.

The upside, on the other hand, is tremendous and potentially even life-altering, making the risk very often worth the reward.
