That Projector Life

The third episode of the #BeTheLighthouse Series is all about using your content strategically. Because if you have a solid platform and you have great content but no way to get that content out into the wider world...no one will see it. It's similar to the whole "If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound?" questions that dads (why is it always dads?) are so fond of asking. Without a strategic plan for your content, it's going to be more difficult to build an audience and create a platform that thrives. So in this episode, we're covering the basics of creating a content strategy. What's a content strategy? It's a fancy word for a content plan - which is something that lets you know what content you're sharing where, when, and why. It doesn't take long to create a content strategy, and I'll walk you through that in this episode. But you're not creating just ANY content strategy. Nope, nope nope. You're creating one that works for a Human Design Projector. Because it's crucial that you work WITH your energy at every point in this process, including when it comes to sharing your content. Our second installment of the #BeTheLighthouse series is all about brainstorming and creating great content. Because, as the marketing saying goes, content is king. Well...it's at least a BIG part of your platform. Building a super solid platform doesn't matter if you content is less than stellar, right? Right! So this episode of That Projector Life will walk you through two of my favorite ways to brainstorm content for platforms - both online and offline. People seem to really fear brainstorming content, but it's really not that bad. (And I've even created a resource in the Projectors in Business Bundle to help with that!) Once you have a handle on how to brainstorm content, we'll talk about how to actually organize and present the content to your audience so it creates an enjoyable experience. Ever felt like people aren't listening to you even AFTER they've recognized you? Like you're standing there telling them exactly what to do...and they're just ignoring you? It could be that you're not fully harnessing your Projector energy to lead them the way you're meant to. It's really tempting (trust me, I know) to lead or guide people by simply telling them what to do. For example, leading by informing - "No. You're doing that wrong. Try this way instead." Or "That's not going to work. This will work better." However, Projectors aren't Manifestors, so we're not supposed to only inform the people we guide. And it sounds simple and doable - don't boss around the people you're here to lead. But when you're in the trenches and you can so clearly see what the other person is supposed to do that it can be really hard to follow that guideline. So this episode is going into leading - successfully - as a Human Design Projector. We all know that sometimes being a Human Design Projector just isn't fun. And sometimes, it just plain sucks as well. (Like I'm over here waaaaiiiiiting for my invitation. Will someone PLEASE recognize me?!) But. You don't have to stay in victim mode forever (in fact, I highly recommend shifting out of victim mode as soon as possible). Because the fact of the matter is that Projectors aren't victims. We just work differently. Many of us know that the placement of planets in the sky affects us. In astrology, they determine the look + feel of our birth charts...and they do the exact same thing in Human Design. The placement of the planets in your design (a.k.a. the gates that they're in) determine your Human Design as a whole. And just like in astrology, each of the planets have their own meaning and energy in Human Design. (However, the planet meanings vary slightly between Human Design and astrology.) Understanding which planet you have in which gate (or gates) can tell you a lot about yourself. For example, in Human Design, the moon is all about what drives or motivates you. My conscious moon is in Gate 54, the Gate of Drive. So what drives and motivates me on a conscious level is advancement in the world - which is some of the energy in Gate 54. This is part three of our Projectors in Business series happening during the month of June. In this series, we'll talk all things projectors + business, so you can stop working against your energy and start working with it. In this episode specifically, I'm diving into a process that Human Design Projectors can use to hire an aligned person for their business. I'll talk specifically about hiring a business coach, but these steps work for hiring any kind of support. Because all too often we're pressured into making a decision (and that's not good, especially for peeps with an emotional authority). But it's not good for the rest of us because we don't get to ask the really important questions, like "Do you know anything about working with Human Design Projectors?" Working with someone who isn't aware of Human Design or who doesn't know who to work with projectors isn't a great idea. That means they don't understand your energy. You wouldn't hire a chef who didn't understand your dietary needs, would you? So why would you hire a business coach or virtual assistant who doesn't understand how your energy works?
